War Room Lounge v156: If you're only getting the tips maybe that's why you're depressed.

For sure financial discipline and a decent paying career pays big dividends in the long run. I took a collegiate course on building long term wealth that was really enlightening. That's not really what I'm referring to. I'm referring to the lies that are told about the American dream. I'm talking about the "billionaire carrot" that society dangles in front of people to convince people to work themselves to death. Not literally.

On a serious note though I agree actually that people with low levels of cognition and intelligence are basically victims to human physiological incentives and a malicious food system that preys on people with ingredient compositions and additives that are designed to be addictive - all in the name of profits. It is asking a lot for people with diminished capacity and that are compromised in some way shape or form, to stand up against their own physiology and a food system and culture that encourages over consumption and literally preys on them with addictive food design.

We need food reform in this country in a bad bad way.

ok but it’s MY analogy lol. I’m not talking about billionaires, but the Republican penchant for thinking that poverty is the fault of the poor, not that they can all become billionaires. I agree with you on the food INC. stuff. For sure there is personal responsibility but we see the horrible outcomes based on the existing incentives so it’s obvious something is broken. I am just layering on the added difficulty of geneticsz

I've already explained that I have previously made my case on this subject more than once and if it interests you all you have to do is look it up, so you're goading me?
No I'm not goading you mate

We had a good discussion on nutrition ,if you don't want to take part

I actually think I have it good. I think my genes are predisposed to losing weight and not putting it on abundantly. I'm 6'4 ~220 but still need to lose about ~30 pounds of sheer body fat. I think a lot of people that eat like I do and have been as quasi-sedentary as I've been for the last 4 years, would be a lot heavier than I am and have a higher body fat %. When I introduce a modicum of discipline into my routine I shed the weight really quickly.

yeah I was sorta of guessing that because you have only 30 lbs to lose and we’re an ecto when younger. My genes are a bit better in that way (I did get 30lbs over weight by doing nothing in my 40s, but I dieted it off and now that I exercise regularly, I can eat just ok and stay 180ish at 6’3”).

Now imagine you are 100 plus lbs over weight and everything is 5X harder due to genes....oof

So I guess since I’m here, I’ll ask. Any of you bros have a preference between a Glock 19 and HK VP9? Looking for a new car/carry gun and wanted some opinions. Been looking for a Governor but I think that’s too unconventional.

The only recommendation i'm allowed to make is MPX, so i'd go MPX. Carry it in a dick holster.

A problem is that now schools skip over a lot of basic skills they used to teach. Basic life skills like nutrition, cooking, home finances, and basic tool usage. People need these skills and dont always have someone that can teach them at home. Food is the the most important part of our survival we should be awesome at it by now, but we are making it worse. All for $$$.

It certainly pays to remember the Tea Party started as a fringe movement, as did the Reform Party in Canada. There always seems to be an element that is easily swayed by the idea of rescuing the nation from a totally imaginary enemy as a cover for substance-less politicking.

That poster is a racist dope, but him tagging Madmick as someone who is able to "talk plainly and in a way that feels very genuine" is auspiciously splendicurus.

This is not a word.

So, out for a drive today and we could hardly believe our eyes when we say that there was fresh-picked corn available already. Incredible, so sweet and juicy, yet another great reason to come here, by the way people. #getyerarsetopei

There's an ever growing mound of nutrition and medical literature either showing how bad animal products are for you (TMAO, heme iron, heterocyclic amines, cholesterol, saturated fat, feces, antibiotics) or how good whole plant foods are for you.

Have an experiment where you eat nothing but whole plants for a week, see how you feel.
