For sure financial discipline and a decent paying career pays big dividends in the long run. I took a collegiate course on building long term wealth that was really enlightening. That's not really what I'm referring to. I'm referring to the lies that are told about the American dream. I'm talking about the "billionaire carrot" that society dangles in front of people to convince people to work themselves to death. Not literally.

On a serious note though I agree actually that people with low levels of cognition and intelligence are basically victims to human physiological incentives and a malicious food system that preys on people with ingredient compositions and additives that are designed to be addictive - all in the name of profits. It is asking a lot for people with diminished capacity and that are compromised in some way shape or form, to stand up against their own physiology and a food system and culture that encourages over consumption and literally preys on them with addictive food design.
We need food reform in this country in a bad bad way.
ok but it’s MY analogy lol. I’m not talking about billionaires, but the Republican penchant for thinking that poverty is the fault of the poor, not that they can all become billionaires. I agree with you on the food INC. stuff. For sure there is personal responsibility but we see the horrible outcomes based on the existing incentives so it’s obvious something is broken. I am just layering on the added difficulty of geneticsz
