My personal fave

That's my cousin

The attack was pretty dope actually. Nice little non-sac on e6, won an exchange and a pawn. Only, he really castled right into it (I had a rook on c8 for a long time, and a pawn on b5, and he castled long) and didn't have any mate threats that didn't require me to walk right into them.

yup, it's like a leaned right into your head kick, and/or gave you my back for a submission.

"here...here's my neck..please choke the fuck out of it."

There is no candidate shameful enough for the modern day Republican Party. Their entire party Is filled with insane people to begin with but the candidates are only going to get more and more insane now that the the virus (Trump) has taken over their party.

you’ll start to see more and more people like this QAnon nutcase like Marjorie the mental patient.

Same guy that wrote Flight 93 essay wrong one for this election
I don't necessarily agree with this but I do believe this is the most well reason case to reelect Trump.

the only credible well reasoned case to re-elect trump is if you are financially well off, enjoy chaos, and sticking it to the libs....there is no other reason to elct the man after seeing what he did in his first term.

This was one of my first thoughts about the bubbles. These guys gonna be away from wives and girlfriends for 2 months? Gonna be a lot of pent up aggression by the time Stanley Cup finals roll around.

Or apparently some cleaning ladies with stories to tell.

So, I've had Futurama running in the background while I have been working from home. I love how Fry is supposed to be representative of the common American in the late 90s/early 2000s. A bit dumb, not worldly, and simple.

BUT, at the same time... he consistently seems to be the one that registers when something is off/not right. Case in point the episode where Leela almost gets swindled by the fake Cyclops dude after they ran into him playing video games.
What about when Fry got swindled by "bone-itus" guy?

What do you guys think is a good way to discourage people from the habit of retaining ignorant objections? Like, when a person has some no-brain cynical one-liner that isn't grounded in anything except the social support of other idiots, and makes him feel good for not knowing (like, say, most Bill Burr jokes or most election opinions). What have you had success with in those situations? Besides sexual overtures, of course.

The answer for me is always some version of redirecting them back to how a person would hypothetically answer the question properly if it was their job, etc. rather than just putting one belief up against another.

Most of the time they aren't interested in figuring that out because it doesn't involve the same emotional engagement, in which case there's not a lot you can do but express vague disapproval. If they are interested you have to also be careful not to pose the question as some kind of (lol Socratic) exercise where you're the condescending douchebag running the show and they're the eager but resentful peon traversing the path. Qualify with "I've thought about it but I don't really know..."

The bane of casual political discourse nowadays is that everyone knows just enough to develop some vague opinion that they become attached to, but few are actually invested in issues enough to find out the details or consider what a good solution might look like (let alone how to solve problems in general) beyond the social signalling it accomplishes for them.

Hence my notional sympathy for allowing people to be less aware without judgement.

Uh, yeah. Sure.
This article is a preprint and has not been peer-reviewed [what does this mean?]. It reports new medical research that has yet to be evaluated and so should not be used to guide clinical practice.

*sigh*

Not trying to convince you or find a gotcha. You mentioned that there has been no experimental study showing significant infectious amounts of virus. Here is a study that claims as much. Therefore the FYI
