@Jesus H. Sherdog @MMAisGod it's deload week. Fuck me running it hasn't come a moment too soon. The first mesocycle definitely put some muscle on me but this program is definitely mean to be your primary thing. Or you're meant to be on gear.

For the last few weeks I've been wanting to do another session of jiu jitsu but haven't been able to because I'm not sure if it would cause a downward spiral. I'm at the limit of my recovery ability. Which I suppose is the point.
Guaranteed it’s meant to be your primary thing. Even if you’re on gear, based on the volumes you were mentioning.

Juggernaut A.I. actually has a lifting program for BJJ competitors that factors in when you’re next meet is and all that, and is adjustable between strength/hypertrophy training, but you have to pay for it by monthly subscription.

edit: Once I finish the macrocycle I'm going to prioritize jiu jitsu for a while, and just lift twice per week.

I deload about once a month as well...

sometimes my ego gets the better of me, and I want to lift heavy and hit a new PR...like every week.

Deloads suck, but when it's time it's time.


thankfully my last deload was timed when I slightly tweaked by back doing back squats with elevated heels, (lifters). my form was off and my lower spine didn't appreciate it much.

probably gonna go paddle boarding later. another 80 degree day in Seattle.

Once a month or two is about right for deload. You can always deload the volume and keep the weight up too if you’re concerned about strength primarily.

yea, that's a good idea. I still do something "physically" active almost every day. I may rest...one day a week where my physical activity is limited to 5 miles of walking.

I know big data keeps hitting me with political stuff, all because of being interested in the Brett kavanaugh debacle. I can’t escape it, it’s politics, makeup tutorials, figure skating, gymnastic, and baseball In my google suggested articles every day, that and updates the GRRM still isn’t finished his fucking books

He had other robbery convictions from before, so they went draconian on him over the hedge clippers. It was held up on appeal by the state court. Don't know the details though.
