It actually feels weird because this is my first natural disaster as a desk sergeant, so I'm just sending men out while I sit here in my office for now. I kinda feel like a jerk tbh, at least in the past when I left my family it was because i was out there helping other people now I'm just on SD and doing/approving paperwork and bs like that.

It took me a long time to accept the idea that the guys on the front line have a ton of respect for an organized leader. If they know you've got their best interest in mind and you're putting them in the right spot they will do anything for you. I'm sure I ain't gotta tell you that though.

This is a huge issue at my main job. It's dysfunctional at best and just horrendously mismanaged at it's worst.

I literally heard a coworker, IN HER FUCKING 40s no less, ask the other day "are BC and DC the same place?"

I about went apeshit and managed to catch myself and go "BC is Canada, DC is out east" then basically ran out the office before I asked "how do you manage to not die on a daily basis from being dumb as shit?"

Met two guys here on Sherdog in the Heavies during the Sonnen/Silva 1 lead up years and we play Battlefield online together.

Went to one guy's wedding, his wife's funeral, and have a couple hunting trips planned together.

He basically never posts anymore though. Have another friend I met back in high school that has an account here too. He never posts either.

It was especially lulzy cause one of them lives in Louisiana and the other in SLC. The one in SLC trains at Jeremy Horn's gym and Horn was in the party with us once and the guy in Louisiana was talking shit about Sonnen and Horn was like "You know, he isn't that bad of a dude" and the tune changed instantly it had me and the guy in SLC in stitches.

When it comes to repeat bans and getting rid of posters it's a combination of Crave policy, forum and sub-forum rules and technical limitations.
There's only one of those aspects which we control.

Are subforum specific bans possible? I've done that elsewhere.

I have a friend I talk politics and religion with as well but I'd never think of inviting him on to the forum. If I read interesting shit here that I feel like conveying to him I'll be very vague about where I read it, like general references to comments sections or the internet.
