The goal is to drown out dissent and create a hivemind in the forum. Another major goal is to eventually become a moderator to further halt discussion and begin to replace mods with their own. This is known as a comped forum. Others that share the same ideology come in and just continue the established sentiment and it creates the optic that the opinions across the forum must be the popular opinion everywhere, and therefore the right opinion. This is how they were able to spread the idea that everyone with a job is a Nazi so quickly a year or so ago. It's also how you get multiple topics about how you are a homophobe if you don't want to fuck a transvestite or you must be racist if you don't fantasize about your wife fucking a black man. The forum is comped if you cant openly express not being interested in sucking off a tranny without backlash or a ban."
