So, the thread about Trump paying for his SATs has me wondering. I assume there must be practice or sample tests online one can take. Anybody know of any that are convenient to try? I'm curious how I'd do now in, my 50's with no prep or anything. There's no counterpart here in Canada. I imagine I will do rather poorly, particularly if there are a lot of American history and civics questions, but I'm sure the math and science sections would be entertaining.

sometimes you have to switch between the quick search field on the right, & the 'advanced search' found on the sub-menu bar on top.

it's weird. if one doesn't yield results, the other more often than not will.

To be fair Cuba depended heavily on support from the Soviet Union and when that was gone they experienced a terrible economic crisis. And then they courted Chavez as their new patron in the early 2000s.

Not very different from being a client state of the US and receiving aid from it. Actually, it was different in that relations with the far less wealthy USSR was less profitable than with the US/West.

And yeah, the terrible embargo left them without much recourse after 1991. It really is one of the most criminal things that the US has continued punishing them 29 years after the reason for the punishment no longer exists.

I think there’s some option to revert back to the old one. I found the new one takes sometime getting use to but once you know how it works, it is far better. Like you are pretty much able to see a posters post breakdown by subforum over the entirety of the account. That old search would give you too results and not really summarize any relevant information. We are just use to the formatting of the old one when trying to quickly find an old post.

There’s a way to get his stuff to come up. I had this problem a couple days ago but it was how I was entering it. I’ll let you know when I remember the steps.
