15k is great. That means you're walking everywhere. I have a large dog that I walk twice per day and I generally walk everywhere and that's about where I end up. Walking is a great way to burn up extra calories.

Appreciate the reply man. My dog walking is probably half or more of my steps

I thought we all were pretty aligned on reports in the WR being anonymous cause I agree it can ruin the system if people get publicly shamed for it. If you notice that isn’t the case, you could let me know and I’ll just mention that case with the group.
LOL.

Since I was told at least one person is moaning about my post in the Seattle roadblock thread in here.

All I said was that 'if you protest in the street and get run over you have no one to blame but yourself.'

I even specifically said I don't care WHAT you are protesting.

It was a politically neutral comment much like if I said 'if you stick a fork in an electrical socket and get electrified, you have no one to blame but yourself.'

Which is equally true and equally politically neutral.

Edit: and I'll add @Jack V Savage since you seem to think my 75 likes is evidence of a right wing conspiracy, that I believe the comment is well liked by both sides because outside of a tiny radical group, EVERYONE, whether left or right, is sick of BLM and their unrelenting stream of bullshit.

You'll get the usual argument, "I'm against taxation and government spending, but if it's going to happen I want me and mine to be the ones benefiting from it as much as possible".

That's a totally fair argument though.

Strange how no one wants to engage an emotionally unstable poster who spends most of his time on an imaginary crusade against a made up enemy

Dude needs to get counseling
Honestly I think a solid percentage of people that post in this subforum are emotionally unstable and need professional help.

But who am I to talk, those things never stopped me from having sex with a person.

Sadly, that is probably true
Some on this site have posts just seething with anger and unhappiness

Lack of sex is probably a major factor

Orwell and Hemingway are two of my favorite people in literary history and they were both highly impacted by what they saw in Spain. The Anarchist feminists were pretty fucking badass as well. Lucia Saornil in particular.

It's why I have such a fascination with going to Rojava, Anarchists, Socialists, and Communists fighting for control of their own destiny. A shame we blatantly allowed Turkish slaughter of the Kurds once again, but what we've recently found out about correspondence between Erdogan and Trump, it makes more sense. More likely after Corona finally gets under control, I will head to the Zapatista controlled territory in Chiapas. They just extended their zone with the blessing of the President of Mexico and Subcomandante Marcos and I've always wanted to attend St Patricks Day festivities in Mexico City and learn more about the San Patricios, the Irish who fought against American imperialism and sided with Mexico. Legendary in combat too and when the US Army tortured Comandante John Riley in front of his men with nooses wrapped around their necks they cried words of encouragement to their leader and in return when they hung he cried out to them as well.

The US Army was particularly cruel in their torture and execution of Irish prisoners. Interesting bit of history I've always wanted to explore more.

Well, what are your opinions about that work in particular?

I think Hemingway is a fairly interesting historical figure, but I will never understand how anyone can think he was a great writer. I've only read OMATS and A Farewell to Arms, but both were very underwhelming. I thought OMATS straight sucked.

Not really, because you won't change the political system of earmarking etc by joining in and earmarking as much as possible for your constituents in order to get reelected.

That's fair.

I am more agreeing with Ron Paul's argument which was more 'if the money's coming anyway, I'll spend it to help my constituents.'

That got brought up in the Rep debates back in the day as an attempted gotcha against him and I thought his argument was fair.

He wasn't going out of his way to get more. He was just spending what was given.

I'll agree going out of your way to get more is disingenuous.

He was a much better short-story writer than a novelist (just like Orwell's greatness is really as an essayist). But if you didn't appreciate "OMATS," you might not like his short stories either.

I would ask you report it. That’s how the process is suppose to work instead of this new lounge trend of not pointing it out to mods at all, coming into the lounge, and talking about how those posts must be allowed since they are up. I’m not pinning this on you but there is way too much complaining in here about posts that should be moderated when they aren’t even reported. It makes zero sense why it’s happening if posters actually want things addressed. The lounge isn’t a report queue. Of course you can discuss those posts and how awful they are here but you’re missing a key function when you don’t report it.

Please report it at the very least before pointing to a double standard when moderation didn’t even get a chance to address it.
We should stop stigmatizing snitching. It's very useful.

So any guesses on the past username of this newest troll?
