Eddie has had a lot of very loyal fighters, Joshua and Bellew to name 2, Bellew didnt even have a contract with him, so he has probably been a bit blindsided here, but Benn isnt really a big draw IMO

He's never won a title of note and thinks he is billy big bollocks, let White deal with him and see how well he sells when he isnt fighting someone called Chris Eubank

This is business. Money always talks especially in this capitalist world. Boxers have short careers and want to maximize the biggest purse they can get.

I can see why Eddie feels scolded after all the shenanigans he went through with Benn but you can bet if he felt Benn was of no use, he would have ditched him too. This is really how the game works.

I think he's more popular than people think, his social media game is big and him being associated to his Dad's and the Eubank legacy means more than some belts do popularity and buying ticketswise.. Granted you'd probably want to put him in the UK as an A side, but I allso think a fight with Ryan Garcia sells BIG.
I don't really know the Zuffa format and scheduling though so I could be talking shite, if he's limited himself to only fighting Zuffa dudes I don't know what that means for him or anyone.

That's nice. So the MMA fighters who have to fight for 10 years in order to get half of what's Conor Benn getting for one boxing match, have to take a low blow in the bonus department?

This video is aging worse the older it gets:

I showed my youngsters this vid recently, lol just to help put in perspective how silly the whole debate is. Mostly they know/watch UFC/MMA

Just need to find my Willie Pep dvds, i guess..

Conor just signed Zuffa for one fight what is all the hubbub about? He can make peace with Matchroom after the fight, if they do not want him to try elsewhere for even one fight then Matchroom is not the place to be.

So now they might have been wrong to believe Conor lol Eddie knowing he lied his pants off for him is the real wound.

I'm still struggling to see who thinks Connor Benn is worth 15m he definitely isn't a huge name in the States, definitely isn't an elite fighter and for me he is extremely unlikeable. Pure power ploy by Dana and Zuffa clearly, as no one can assess Benn and think he's worth that much.

What do I know though, Im just sitting here typing shit on my sofa.

exactly, he isnt really a big name over here either, his father is, if he was fighting i would check out the result but i wouldnt be tuning in

what is hilarious is that Zuffa has massively overpaid for Benn, and while i dont really blame him, but he wants to fight for the WBC title and not the Zuffa title

I wouldnt be tuning in either, and I definitely agree they have massively overpaid. Yeah its a funny situation all this belt stuff, can't make it all out just yet.

they asked dana how often he speaks to turki, 'whenever I need some money'
thats bad news for the promoters, expect more poaching sooner rather than later

Brilliant from Ben. Cunty, disloyal and cutthroat, but for himself, it's a winning lottery ticket.

Allegedly, a huge payday, and he gets to escape the two most likely opponents... Shakur and Ryan Garcia... both of which were going to beat the piss out of him. He can be the inaugural Zuffa Champ.... lol.

Doesn't say a whole lot for his character, betraying the dudes that propped him up after pissing hot twice.
