It was not the first time I'd heard him tell this joke. I'll go through my Spotify history and find it for you. For my part, I'm saying whether he meant any deeper meaning or I'm giving him too much credit, I still think it's an accurate metaphor for Trumplicans' need to constantly ratchet up the scare tactics to distract from their wrongdoing.
Gotcha. Carlin, serendipitous as usual. Loved that guy.

from one of Bran's POVs when he's warged into Summer, he says something along the lines that Coldhands has been dead for a long long time.
Yeah but Benjin went missing in book one so he could have been dead for a few years I think at that point.

the way it's written implies he's been dead for much longer. Bran/Summer makes note of it due to his scent or something.

Bra the useless broken piece of crap is not reliable, even book Bran.

Since we're talking about GoTs, is there a reason why Ned kept Jon's lineage a lie from Catelyn? I could see keeping it a secret for a couple of years since they barely knew each other when they got married, but at some point the hostility between her and his bastard son should have hit a boiling point long before the events of the story necessitated him leaving Winterfell and Jon joining the Night Watch.
Should that just be attributed to lazy writing or Ned being a honorable-stupid character?

here's an excerpt from Leaf. the Children of the Forest have a much different perception of time then that of humans, as told here. with that in mind "long ago" must be a long fucking time ago

I don't even know what season 7 was all about TBH, and I'm not sure I'd call it fan service. It was so completely aimless. I'd actually put it a few rungs below season 8. At least season 8 had some direction and got to it's destination. Season 7 was a complete waste of time. Nothing happens, except for possibly the worst death of a main character on the show. Littlefinger got done dirty. He deserved better.
i dunno, i feel littlefinger could've had a more epic send-off but it was satisfying enough to see his scheming be his undoing

seeing drogon and the dothraki decimate the lannister army was a big payoff for me too

some great moments but weaker than earlier seasons overall

The Hound stopping Arya and getting what he wanted his whole life was a great send off for that character too

Ned's honor. he made a promise to Lyanna.

I go back and forth. S7 had the series' worst episode (Beyond the Wall) and a few glaring plot errors (Jaime's magical floating armor) but S8 was just a tour de force of contradictions, absurd coincidences, and nonsensical decisions.

Cause the less people that know the secret the better chance it has of staying a secret.

These people had more patience than I would have. If that demon-possessed old cunt even HINTED at touching my child in that state, I would have slapped the dentures out of her fucking mouth. Period.

Karens are in their 30s and 40s. This is Karen's mom.

I suggest "Sharon" for these 60+ broads.

Ned's honor. he made a promise to Lyanna.
And if Caitlyn didn’t show hostility to Jon it would have been like, weird. She wasn’t raised to accept a bastard

Mormont's raven has to be one of the funniest minor characters in the entire book series too.

most likely Bloodraven.
