Can't go into the details here for sake of my own identity, but I worked on a public project last year that used his research pretty extensively.
There are some pretty glaring flaws, but they are mostly that of omission. It's solid all around and a great tool for explaining the how active historical legacies are.

I floated that exact thought process through that thread for several days to no avail. I'm sure you could have put forth a more thorough and eloquent presentation but you rightly decided not to waste your time.

I got rebuttals suggesting that Natives Americans should be happy to be used as mascots because they're lucky to be recognized at all and, hey, the Washington Redskins mascot is a noble looking Indian. Reeealy hard to work with shit like that.
