Im a bit young to know that but reading it on Wikipedia, it doesn’t sound like the same idea. I just don’t want to have to sign up for 4-5 publications and have separate log ins for each. I suppose a Facebook login could solve that but it still wouldn’t eliminate multiple subscriptions when I may not read an article for one of them in a certain month.

You could create a "fund" with a group of people to chip in for subscriptions and share the text by private means.

I'm not sure how "legal" that would be, but it wouldn't be the first time people have shared paywall material.

I was somewhat trying to think of a business model or at least a partnership between some of these companies. The more I think about it, SSOs like Facebook or google could step up to the plate for it.

From a legal perspective, having a collective of publications under one subscription model would be a good deal too, but I'm sure that means the individual publications would take in less, even with more subscribers.0

To be fair, I believe my exact words were "kick the shit out of that trollish turd."

True. I’m somewhat think a Spotify model where the outlets would get paid out based on the number of articles or percentage form that publication the accounts viewed. But a lot of musicians bitch a lot about Spotify model so maybe NYT and others would make it a hard deal to accept.

You were already carded for flaming someone though.

Hamilton is on Disney+

I don’t get the hype at all.
Had to turn it off.

@AgonyandIrony The single greatest technological advancement in the last 20 years are HD camera's built into affordable cell phones.

There's already an app that lets you do that; I just can't recall the name right now, though it will come to me eventually. They have, say x number of publications, and of course the more you pay the more publications you have access to, and you can create a feed from those publications filtered by topic. Does that sound like what you are looking for?

One of the weirdest statements I see constantly here or anywhere else are when conservatives bemoan that "leftists want to take your guns" and that's just... not true?

Corporate politicians reacting to news cycles want to "take your guns" or restrict them. The further I dive into the left, the more I see the same ardent support for the 2nd amendment as "boogaloo boys".

Banned members coming back don't even try to be subtle anymore lmao

Why should they be? It's not like it's frowned upon. I've got a forever butt hurt stalker who's had at least 15 different accounts.
