I know new outlets are being forced to a subscription model more and more but the more that do it, the more concerning it becomes. Like when I go to read up on a topic and the first three articles I go to read are behind a paywall, how is someone even supposed to get educated on an issue? I could see myself buying a subscription to one of these places eventually but not multiple sites every time I want to see a single article in that month.

Makes me wonder if they could create a network/ bundle subscription model. You pay X for a log in that works on any of those sites and it gives you access to a certain amount of articles a month or even a premium subscription that gets you unlimited access for a higher price. I hate bundling in the media market usually but this one could be great if it were an optional route.

Two cops in Oklahoma are being charged for murder for tasing a man more than fifty times.

Three police officers who took photos mocking the torture and murder of Elijah McClain have been fired. The same PD also fired a police officer recently for getting into a crash drunk driving. The interim chief seems to be a big step up.

Despite there being a small scuffle in Denver last night that involved 6 arrests Colorado is looking to lead the way on police reform. I plan on compiling all the data on every single police defunding/reform in the country over the next few days but from what I've seen it's been very promising.
