War Room Lounge v132: Jack used rhetoric. It’s not very effective...

It's like that in almost all of Canada at least until very recently. I was used to it growing up, but every time I go back for a visit it irritates me. Liquor prices in Canada are also absurd.
WA you used to be able to get wine and even strong beer at a grocery store but any hard liquor there were state ran stores for that.

Now they have BevMo, TotalWine, and sell booze at Costco. Going from that to Utah where I can't even get a fucking Guinness at a grocery store...... FFFFFUUUUUUU

In a volunteer capacity, I believe

Such a large percentage of sports fans are racist af but they cheer for black guys so they don't consider themselves racist.

So uh...George Floyd and former NBA player Stephen Jackson. Ive come to the conclusion that these two are real life biological brothers. Here they are together:

The back story of these two goes like this(according to Jackson): The two met at some kind of party or event in 2007. Jackson claims a mutual friend introduced them because they look so similar. The two met and hit it off. They hit it off so well in fact that Floyd became Jackson's "best friend", "brother", and "twin". Thats right. Two grown men, one of them a well known nba player, met at a randim party and hit it off so well that they immediately became best friends.

I find that hard to believe. I think George Floyd is Stephen Jacksons actual brother. They look just alike and they called each other brothers. "Twins" in fact. On top of that Floyd also has NBA height standing at 6'6.

Since Floyd's passing Stephen Jackson has become a voice for civil rights issues:

Its almost like the death of his "brother" has somehow given Stephen Jackson a new life, a new status, a new identity, and a new role in this society. He is really going all out for his friend.

Here is Stephen Jackson's father:

Please ignore the captions as its the only picture I could find. He definitely looks like Floyd also.

So what do you guys think...a bunch of coincidences or are these guys actual brothers?

Just sitting at our tiki bar, listening to everyone talk about fishing and annoying the hell out of me.

Don't they know there is a revolution going on right now?

Brother, the revolution is in all our minds and the man is trying and trying to keep us sane; I am about to get high myself.

If they were all teleported to Afghanistan, they'd be begging for Washington instead of trying to denounce him.

Thatb doesn't currently make any sense, however they may be an edit shortly

Edit - If Satan himself had beamed up to earth to win WW2 for the allies, we would have a winged statue in the middle of London.

Also, maybe that's our major problem as a species, we don't think ahead about unintended consequences

Also every generation gets better, at everything; but progress alaways has to be as slow as possible, thems the rules, im afraid.

Another way of saying that while the US definitely isn't perfect and needs *a bit* of change, most who are wanting a real revolution aren't thinking about how lucky they are to be born in a place that not only is so well off that it allows it, but encourages it without fear of execution.

There's a difficult conversation about our country's founding looming. Hopefully I live to see the robust national discussion our history truly deserves.

A lot of wrongs need to be acknowledged for there to ever be true change and reconciliation.
