Oh I think it was a defining piece of spoken art by what may be considered one of the greatest orators in American History and I felt he did an incredible job to put things into context the things I've been trying to express. Masterful.
He's addressed this topic in Killing Them Softly at length so people saying he should stay in his line are dumb. People saying he got bought is dumb, the dude stepped away from a fortune just for some sense of normalcy. People saying he's just a comedian completely misses the point of the art to begin with, he's also broached just about every uncomfortable topic in society skillfully, but not without purpose. Not to mention a special is usually only filmed after a year of performing that material. Five nights a week, two times a night, an hour to an hour and a half each night, and only then is it filmed, usually three nights, sometimes twice a night. Impressive as hell.
