Speaking of a team that isn't very good, you ever notice that when ordinary people kill other people, they don't get leniency due to the pre-existing health conditions of their victim? In fact, apparent evidence or knowledge of a victim's detrimental condition is seen as an element of bias in the crime, an aggravating element. But when a cop does it, somehow it speaks to their favor. Interesting form of boot licking, imo.

I think the doctrine has its place (it's way too strong), but I'd settle for merely not reversing the moral standard completely.

Qualified immunity only should give room for reasonable but mistaken judgements.

Crazy hard rain (like the windshield wipers can't keep up and there are some huge puddles, and you can't see six inches in front of you) reminds me of home and has some value. I used to have a belief that it was ridiculous and undignified to try to kind of run through that to shelter, kind of bowed over, as if that reduces how soaked you'll get (you're basically maxing out no matter what you do). So I'd just casually stroll as if it were a perfect day. Couple of people from back home said that that was what they'd think of when they thought of me.

I don't think Mustaine is so much the inventor of the palm muting technique as a pioneer in it's use and popularization in metal songwriting and structure. Are you guys familiar with John Schaffer with Iced Earth? He really takes that technique a step further.

And as mediocre as Hammet is I'm not sure he can unseat Lars as the Ringo of Metallica.

Ha, I like to do that too. Sometimes I do move more quickly because want to get a little bit less soaked, especially if it's cold. But it's very music video to be the one walking normally while others cower and scurry. Occasionally notice another person doing it and exchange a little nod that makes your day.
