I don't think that every man or woman should feel the need to know how to operate a rifle, but I agree that American liberals are far too impulsive and reductive on gun control issues and tend to use it as a fulcrum for virtue signaling (like Hillary saying Sanders cared more about the NRA than dead children - oof!).

As a group, American communists/socialists are much, much more deferential to gun rights than liberals, even if not nearly as much so as conservatives. But I think that's distinct from being a gun rights absolutist or from making shitty constitutional arguments about the Second Amendment. To be sure, I don't "support" the Second Amendment insofar that the current prevailing interpretation of it is clearly ludicrous and based on the inventions of FedSoc charlatans.

I suppose I'm much more likely to have more in depth conversations where I don't come across as a pompous ass in my free time around communists/anarchists/socialists than a liberal. I tend to be pretty harsh with liberals when politics come up. Probably my favorite mainstream leftist right now is Killer Mike and I tend to agree with him on a lot of stuff and agree with him about radical action being the only thing that will change anything.

That's what bothers me about these ugly ass larpers, where the fuck have they been. The prison industrial system absolutely deserves armed protests, the current EPA deserves armed protests, granted I'm a romantic when it comes to revolution (writer and all ) and I was 100% wrong about how this would go. I expected us to stand behind the workers, and see the flaws in our healthcare system, our education system, how little rights our workers have but nope. Motherfuckers talking about lynching black politicians instead.

Hell we're literally seeing a repeat of The Jungle, Sinclair wrote it to highlight the plight of the worker in the meat industry and America instead was like "icky! we need to pass laws about the meat!" just like this very moment, instead of us standing behind workers in the meat industry getting sick and dying we're talking about forcing them to work and how will we get our meat. I've been to Democratic Socialists of America meetings and I was perturbed about how little was focused on the working class.

I used to have more respect for Libertarians than I did liberals until they were infiltrated by the authright.

Hoping for a 1 bedroom, maybe a larger studio and I'm trying to find a place either right downtown (allowing me to walk to work) or not more than 10-ish miles away. My commute right now is damn near 30 to get to work and coming home during rush hour can take near 45 minutes to an hour sometimes.

I have body dysmorphia since gaining the covid 19, I think, tbh. Can’t run yet because of the acl surgery, but the golf course is finally open and I walked 18 yesterday, so that helps. I also have long hair now, which is weird, but at least reminds me of why I was pulling so much ass in my youth. It’s the one thing I’m probably keeping out of all this.

The plan right now is to rent my own spot next year.

My current lease is done in January or February of 2021. My plan right now is to move into an apartment around that time. Worst case if I find the perfect spot so to speak at the end of like December I will worst case pay for rent for two places for a month. It'd also allow me to move over time.

My folks I think are moving out here this fall too (not sure their exact day plans) so I'm trying to find a townhouse or smaller house for them that matches all the stuff they want.

I am unwilling to break a lease though and fuck up my rental history. Also if I were to dive out early I'd likely blow up the friendship I have and me being pissy all the time is a better trade off than losing a pack of friends.

Warning, I had a friend that had one of those roll block .308s. He fucking HATED it and it had CONSTANT feeding issues. The mags followers have a tendency to tilt and cause the rounds to nosedive so the front of the damn round is on the bottom of the fucking magazine.

Nope, none that I can tell. It's intended to be my indoor fight gun, so if 115gr JHP don't do the job, then nothing would. I was putting inch and a half groups with the dot from about 50 yards out, so I consider that a success. Anywhere inside there and i'm gonna be on the money. Zeroed at 25 yards.

I mean, it's the all around supreme PCC imo. Premium feel, premium action, low ass recoil, I haven't found anything that bugs me about it. I even braced it up and was ripping the target one handed with no issue. Sure you're gonna pay the cost, but it's worth it to me. I don't like cheapo guns. If i'm gonna potentially have to use it one day, I want something that makes no compromises. That MP5 is nice, but those ergos are haggard as fuck and the gas action on the MPX is smoooooooth. I had the opportunity to get an affordable SP5 and passed for the MPX.

Yeah, I posted on RevLeft. I don't recall it having many Stalinists or tankies, though. At least the prestigious posters definitely weren't.

I don't do much watching of pundits, tbh, but the only true Marxists I've come across are Michael Brooks and his group (Ben Burgis and the long-haired guy whose name escapes me). I don't agree with all his takes (he's a bit too cut & dry on the Venezuelan and former Bolivian regimes), but he's pretty brilliant imo. And extremely well-spoken.
