You know, I hear people say you have to be smart to be a lawyer. No offense to the lawyers here on Sherdog, but I did really think that was on the whole a bit exaggerated. But I read the analytical minds in that thread, and realize that compared to how dumb some people are, relatively speaking, you really do have to be smart. To hear what some people think are relevant from a legal perspective to the case is mind-blowing.

It's relative. If by being a lawyer you mean completing law school, passing the bar, and making a living....then, frankly, no, you don't need to be remarkably bright.
