So, reading through the Arbery thread.

You know, I hear people say you have to be smart to be a lawyer. No offense to the lawyers here on Sherdog, but I did really think that was on the whole a bit exaggerated. But I read the analytical minds in that thread, and realize that compared to how dumb some people are, relatively speaking, you really do have to be smart. To hear what some people think are relevant from a legal perspective to the case is mind-blowing.

I could have it mixed up but I thought they wait 2 years after retirement. He must’ve retired and came back to MW before 2 years then after, it took forever to see he wasn’t doing a LW fight.

that makes zero sense. I could see them doing custom belts like that every once in awhile but you wouldn’t keep it going. It would just be a testament to how big the fight is to hype it.
