They're about 10-12. About seven to ten dollars in ingredients lasts me a week with red bean and rice, pick up some local sausage and super fresh shrimp. I can eat pretty good hella cheap.

Also ny pizza got here early and hot damn Dustin looked good.

I'd love to hear how you make red beans and rice.

What are your thoughts on Spam or ham hocks? I love Spam diced, cooked in Tabasco and A1 and served over rice (black pepper over the whole thing). One of my staples when I was single, and I still make it when my wife's away on business or something. Cheap and delicious AF. She also learned to make my old ham hocks and lentil thing recently, though she makes it fancier (and spicier) than I did, and I don't really know what she does. Also great and cheap.

I can't do spam at all. But ham hocks are good in some red beans, I tend to use neckbones for stocks, beans though.

Easy cheap eats is a big picnic roast slowly roasted in carnitas. Tacos, omelettes, chili verde. Its hella versatile.

I get catfish nuggets pretty fresh and cheap, either fry and blacken them for a pretty good main dish.

I posted it earlier on, but essentially I make a good stock first, I'll saute up the holy trinity and some diced sausage then add them to the beans and stock. Some pork neckbones, thyme, bay leaves, and a cup of hot sauce and slow simmer about twelve hours. If youre looking for a better consistency smash some beans along the side of the pot and mix into the middle.

Much like chili the flavor gets better as it sits.

That's a shitty brand. Where I'm from, you bust out the Hormel or Libby's for company. Go down to the cellar for some vintage 2004 canned meat.

There will never will be better food than this ambrosia. Food of the Gods.
