Finished Season 3 of Community.
Thoughts:
1. Season 1 is actually
better than Season 2, or at least more enjoyable. On rewatch, Season 2 severely lacks flow: specifically, it lacks fast-paced and traditional-setup episodes to break up the novelty episodes.
2. Season 3 is definitely the most innovative and well-crafted season of any sitcom that I've ever seen. It's ridiculous how creative, well-directed, and insanely well-produced the episodes are. "Digital Estate Planning" is an especially underrated episode. I usually tire quickly of the animated episodes, like the Christmas claymation one, but the video game setup is just perfect, and it's tied into the actual real-life story instead of used as a figment of imagination.
3. The only downside to Season 3 is that it kickstarted Abed's character's move into legitimate mental illness and obsession with make believe; also, the Doctor Who stuff just isn't interesting to me.
