everything you've said went right over my head. was never really into RPGs TBH.

I used to love Mega Man series, Pro Wrestling & a few other games for NES

Super Mario World, DBZ Butoden 2 (had to burn the slots in the cartridge to make it fit into my console haha), Pilot Wings, & of course Street Fighter 2 for SNES

after that I really didn't care for games anymore but was always in the loop because my buddies never stopped. I did at a point in time master Marvel vs. Capcom 2 at the arcades haha.

then the GTA3 phenomenon hit me & voila - I was hooked. but I never really played a lot of games outside of the GTA series safe for Shadows of the Colossus, Assassin's Creed, Infamous. I never even beat GTA4. I got up to the last mission, & my car flipped over, so I just said "fuck it" due to laziness haha. oh yeah, Bully & The Warriors are fucking great.

but I started d/ling games recently to test out all the hardware I have.

the games I guess I'm really into are Rockstar games. Shadow of the Colossus is right up there with my love for GTA games.
Only GTA I've played a lot is V, and it's pretty damn good. Rockstar did so much right with that one (not enough heists though!). Haven't played Shadow/Colossus.

All batteries lose charge eventually,

exactly - this is the one thing I stress to every-fucking-body.

unplug your shit as soon as it would be near /fully charged. overcharging does happen, leading to the overall design capacity diminishing due to the battery "frying out".

this is why I only buy ThinkPad (Lenovo) pcs.

they have a 'Battery Threshold' (via Lenovo's Vantage app) feature that automatically cuts off all charging as soon as it hits the percentage you'd set it at. this way your battery will always be healthy & never diminish in quality & in life. I have my shit to cut off charging at 85%, so I can leave it plugged in at all times without ever having to worry.

I was never a hardcore gamer. never legitimately played any of the FF games.

fite me

@Jack V Savage , you're the economist of the forum...

Are we headed towards a recession? Is it time to cash out our stocks?

Not an economist. But I think if you define a recession as at least two straight quarters of negative GDP growth, it's very likely, and the extent of that negative growth is going to be massive. The Q2 decline will probably be the biggest ever recorded. That alone would fit a lot of definitions.

Don't know what the heck is going on with stocks lately. I am a stock analyst, but I don't have a good answer here. I'm still maxing out my 401k deduction

Is it time people stopped referring to the stock market and “the economy” as if they were the same thing?

Long past.

Gotta say, I would have expected that the country and real economy being in shambles would have had more of an impact on stocks, though.

Another unavoidable tragedy smh. God, why hath you forsaken your humble children?

User's aside, Nintendo the company has actually made some very smart product design and marketing decisions with the Switch. Comparisons to Sony or Microsoft usually fall flat because they aren't competing for the same customers or in a comparable technological arms race.

Shut up, weeb.

Ever listen to the podcast Hidden Forces?

Never thought I'd be pointing out a quality finance podcast for someone to listen to, but the times are strange.

Attn: The Dutch.

AI Chess just refuted your defense. Get wrecked.

No, but I'll look into it.

I think you'll like it. I have to listen to them a couple times with lots of Googling in between to have a chance at getting what's going on, but one of the ideas that stuck with me was the power of dynamics internal to the stock market relative to those that would be employed in traditional fundamental analysis, for example.

The casuals (and I count myself among them) really do not understand.

A rare Officer Big Mac appearance. That’s not Mayor McCheese, folks

@Falsedawn I have some things to say about Central Park with regards to this virus. Would you care to discuss them openly and honestly with me in the spirit of rational discourse?
