Does anyone know the status of UFC fighter contracts? Obviously UFC currently cannot employ them even if they tried. If, say, OneFC would be able to stage cards in a place the UFC cannot because reasons, wouldn't these fighters be able to pursue that despite their contract?

Speaking of Ford: I still haven't seen BR 2049 despite the reviews, Deakins cinematography and the OG being pretty much my favo(u)rite flick of all-time (Final Cut).

It's worth seeing; for a sequel it does a passable job of walking the right line between homage and originality.

Police advising residents in the area to go in their basements and lock the doors

"Nova Scotia RCMP have identified the active shooter in the rural community of Portapique, N.S., as 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman.

Police say there are multiple victims but would not say Sunday morning how many people were either injured or killed.

RCMP said Wortman is considered armed and dangerous. Police said they can't say whether Wortman is still in the area or not.

"If you see him, call 911. DO NOT approach," RCMP tweeted Sunday morning.

Police said Wortman is a bald white man who is six-foot-two to six-foot-three with green eyes.

Police first alerted the public to an incident with a weapon involving someone with a firearm in the Portapique area on Saturday at 11:30 p.m. Residents are being advised by RCMP to stay in their homes and lock their doors.

"You may not see the police but we are there with you," the Nova Scotia RCMP tweeted Sunday morning."


As if anyone needed another reason to stay indoors... be safe everyone.

UFC Contracts have fighters by the balls in a vicegrip. No, they can’t fight for another promotion. At least not without UFC’s permission (like Connor ended up getting to box Floyd)

They’re not even legally obligated to offer fights to fighters on their contracts. They can just hold and freeze guys even when there’s not a global pandemic, and those guys can’t go earn money fighting for another org.

Damn. Fuck this virus so much. I shared a link in the Covid thread about someone who had to have their leg amputated due to complications from Covid (short version, ECMO machine caused a bad leg clot) and I found out now an old pastor and friend of mine has Guillian-Barre syndrome. It sounds like a freaky paralysis thing they just hospitalize you for and hope it passes without being permanent. This syndrome apparently gets kicked off somehow by upper respiratory infections so they believe he had a mild case of Covid that didn’t even cause a fever so he never went in or got tested for it, that caused this paralysis syndrome to happen.

The original (final cut or director’s cut- can ever remember which one) is a better movie, but the sequel is amazing. At the very least it will not disappoint on the cinematography front (still diffferent, but still amazing (even better tbh)
