We've literally had this same discussion and you literally said the same thing years ago. Truth is dude, I hate partisanship. I'm a left of center guy, and if you look at my posts, I do argue for the left for the most part. But I don't like to generalize and I don't like unneeded anger unless there is a good joke attached to it.

My outlook doesn't prevent me from seeing reality. It shows me a partisan world, where both sides in power are capable of screwing over the common American. If you're going to sit there and say Democrats are unbeholden to that, then you're batshit crazy.

*However* I will say that at the end of the day, bullet to my head, I'd choose Democrats. But I still hate the overture of IP that they've played the last few years. Just because the right has been a total shit bag towards women, people of color and the poor forever, doesn't mean the left gets to just reverse it all and treat normal working class people like shit now.

What exactly do you think I'm sitting here and telling you? I don't comment on the character of political parties. On issues, there are some matters that relate to different values and many others that have right or wrong answers. I also think knee-jerk cynicism is wrong (meaning the assumptions aren't lined up with reality) and harmful.
