War Room Lounge v116: Where does the "incestuous" part come in though? That's the juicy part.

If you're taking 30 hours to build a computer, you're doing it wrong. 8 max, and that's if you read ALL the manuals. It's expensive Legos, it's really not that difficult.

And trust me, that computer you assembled is going to last a lot longer than the prebuilt. Seen way too many shitty workstation class power supplies literally blow the fuck up to have my mind changed on this one.
the pre-built I was looking at doesn't list the PSU brand/type, just the wattage.... now your post has me second guessing myself

goddammit

Agree to disagree on that latter comment. I waited a while for the right unit to come along, granted, but it has performed very well. It has survived power failures and surges, and crashes of various kinds, and no tribble atall. OTOH, I do recall having to replace the power supply more than once on my earlier frankenboxes. It's more the luck of the draw when it comes to that particular piece of hardware, IMHO.

Er ya....no. Don't buy anything without all the specs, including manufacturer of each component. Lack of info on that front is a hyuuuuge red flag.

Pinochet was a bumbling idiot.

Franco or Tito

Franco is a greater villain than Pinochet imo. Pinochet was a tool like Trump. Franco was a true reactionary - thirsting for the swallowing up of popular will by the awesomeness of monarchy - and absolutely brutal.

Didn't Franco oversee the updating of Spain's economy following WWII allowing them to at least somewhat modernize?

I know the US/Western powers helped him because of his supreme anti-communist mindset but Spain's economy improved at that time didn't it?

it is from microcenter so if I wanted to I can always call in and get that info

The solution to that is, imo, shuttering shit tier law schools. Plenty of incompetent attorneys cram hard and pass the bar exam despite getting shitty educations and being shitty students for all of their lives. Unless you have a wacky system of laws like Louisiana, the bar exam does far less to weed out bad lawyers than just having stricter accreditation/license to operate requirements.
Agree that shuttering bad law schools and stricter ongoing requirements are a much better solution than bar exams. But until those exist, I think the bar should stay in place.

There was the Spanish Miracle. But I think the economic history more or less mirrored Chile's: disaster followed by US-aided growth.

It's probably part of my dad's age but in his opinion at least:
"Given I was in kindergarten during WWII, Franco and Tito are really the only two true dictators I can think of that weren't complete despots"

Cause I mean, you have guys like this fuckface out there to compare them to and frankly Tito and Franco don't seem so bad:

@Falsedawn @Trotsky @FloridaCracker @BarryDillon

This, honestly, bothers me a lot. I know releases happen post Wrestlemania but to get called essential, then Linda McMahon dumps tons of money into campaigns, and Vince cuts like half the fucking roster talent and backstage workers bothers me.

- Maria and Mike Kunnelis are like 3 weeks out from having a kid and were cut
- Drew Gulak just got married 3-4 months ago
- Lance Storm got hired, sold his wrestling school, and moved to Florida to work for them 4 months ago
- Mike Chioda has been with them for 30 years
- Karl Anderson and Drew Gallows JUST SIGNED 5 year deal last June
-
Among other. Fuck

You forgot the by far biggest cut, Rusev. Dude literally got mocked and cucked with that "his wife takes the bbc" angle, lost the match, got no revenge, disappeared for a couple of months, got released, while his wife is a few months into to a 5 year contract working there. Doesn't get worse than that.

If you're getting an 80 Plus rated power supply, your issues are going to be far less than a general jank one. I only buy gold rated and I have yet to have one fail in any of the boxes I've put together. My own is a 700W full modular and I've had it for going on 8 years now. If a company is willing to subject themselves to the efficiency tests, you can be sure that their reliability is on the up and up as well. And I have enough overhead for a whole lot more in my box than I have now.

Where companies make their money is power supplies, motherboards, and RAM. If you buy quality the first time, the only thing you should have to be replacing is your GPU as the new hotness comes out.

Rusev wanted to go though. He was all but asking to be cut in the last couple months.

Oh yea of course there's nothing wrong with wanting out. He was terribly misused and likely very unhappy there. But that cuck storyline though, one of the most insulting I've ever seen. They basically were like, "oh you want to leave??? Alright, we'll have your wife take the bbc on camera every week while you get whooped by the guy bbc'ing your wife on your way out the door". Like brah, how they get you to agree to that???

My understanding was Rusev wanted either a legit storyline or to be let go.

Bet he becomes the monster for Omega and Hangman Page's "The Elite" stable.

It's just par for Vince trying to break up real life couples with on-screen shit.

I occasionally like to read the promotional literature for shitty law schools because it’s such a marvelous example of a special type of scumbaggery: portraying yourself as a hero because you provide services to marginalized people who society has closed the door to.

The same kind of pathological delusion and avarice that motivates doctors who sell pills to junkies, bankers who sell usurious debt/pay day loans, and imperial Japan’s conquest of East Asia. Helping out the oppressed, doesn’t that make you a hero?

Straight monsters use the rationale all the time, as an all purpose excuse.

Hell, my GPU model has been out for 4 years now and I still haven't run into any meaningful issues.

I would definitely disagree that Franco deserves mention alongside Tito. The measure of pure despotism and pure dictatorship rests, in my opinion, on the accountability of the leader to forces beyond his own retention of power. For instance (although I realize the latter two aren't WW2-era) Tito, Sankara, and Castro were all, to varying extents, accountable to their people's interests, to their parties, and to their ideologies of popular empowerment. Ultimately, I think Franco, like Hitler or Stalin, was accountable only to the perpetuation of his own political power against the interests of those his government represented. This was consistent with his own concept of true monarchy. Pinochet was ultimately more accountable to his country's government as exemplified by the fact that he was eventually deposed by peaceful political process and later assessed charges of human rights violations.

Lee Kuan Yew and Park Chung-hee probably have certain credentials to the "benevolent dictator" moniker as well.
