Sadly, it kind of proves my theory that you can't just open the doors back up, without knowing how many carriers are still out there, no matter how much you flatten that curve.

This is not ending without a cure, or mass civil unrest. Good times ahead...
I think the problem a lot of people have is they think once they hit the peak, its over. But just because you made it to the top of the mountain does not mean you do not need to make it down the other side.

discussion in the mayberry about guys paying girls to play games on switch...

"I believe in letting people do what they want as long as they arent hurting anyone.
having said that, if I saw a man that engages in that kind of spineless simp phagg0try getting stomped out by a few people, I'd look the other way. they are barely human IMO. just pathetic."

Bruh, didn't you make a thread once about being pissed because you bought used panties and they got lost in the mail or something?

"not remotely the same. I'm getting a product for my money. not just throwing it at a female and getting absolutely nothing in return"

Lmao, what a tremendous find. Gib link now plz.

Bill Gates said as much when talking about the need for universal testing and/or a vaccine before we can really get comfortable again, but we're all idiots for listening to info like that.

Just go to the mayberry and use the search bar.

Thanks a lot, appreciate it.

Your manners are improving. You need to tighten your body more Mr. Tonni. The Nexus ascension protocol requires optimal health. You will know when you're ready as I will call you by phone...

I got this feeling we're fucked a bit, tbh.
I have the opposite feeling. I think it's going to be very painful for many many people for the next few years (me included almost certainly), but in the end, it will reinforce the maxim that what doesn't kill us (in this case all of humanity rather than an individual) will make us stronger. As I said earlier, national governments and the medical community will be far better prepared the next time something like this happens, and while the economy may not return to full vigor overnight, it will likely be faster than after the GFC, I think.

Hey hey if you call me and you have to suffer my incessant talking, the joke will be on you.

No worries about that. I enjoy when Sapiens secrete their poetry...

I'm more worried about the lack of community and the selfishness I've seen so far. This might sound a bit preachy or whatever, but I really think people should reconsider hoarding and also the whining and crying about being bored in lockdown? You're all adults, get over it, your children are watching you panic and act irresponsibly.

If people lose their humanity this quickly, is the whole thing really worth salvaging?

I'm surprised more people can't just see the simple logic in it, and think this is gonna end in a month, or something. You got what, like 350,000,000 people in America, and you've tested how many? It's the same thing over here, with our far smaller population. They haven't even tested like 1% of us. The shit hasn't even begun to hit the fan. It kills me when people dismiss notions of martial law and enforced quarantines. Without a cure, that is a very real possibility down the road. Our military just started offering scores of recruits full time positions. Gee, I wonder why they're pumping their numbers up all of a sudden? Hmm...

You got some sauce, boss?

"The whole crisis does raise some interesting questions though: if we all agree that we can’t have the weakest people in society dying as a healthcare system, then why do we tolerate it as an economic system?".....frankie boyle

@Fawlty (Follow up on the conversation in the corona thread) My mom's stuck at home, recovering from cancer, and she gets exactly enough money to pay the rent. Since she's on "sick leave" of sorts, she gets a lot less than lucky bastards like me that are just technically unemployed. My main concern is the stress she has, so I told her I'll contribute as much as possible.

You're a good egg, tonni. Tell your mother we're thinking of her, respectfully. And nice to hear that your company is still getting at least some work.
