10/10 twist, would watch again.

I found that Twitter page from the coronavirus thread. there's some good shit on there.

I learned there are true fucking dime piece Pakistani broads out there too.

There's one plot hole in that show that never sat quite right with me. He meets that girl who takes him on adventures, and then she suddenly dies of a traumatic brain aneurysm. And then the next episode it's like nothing happened. And it continues like this for a while, so it kinda makes you think that each episode is its own self contained universe. But then he meets the hungarian woman and tries to relive that night with the brain aneurysm chick.

I disagree that it's really a plot hole since it fits within the universe and the theme of the show: that life kind of happens to Louie at random while he tries to hold on and occasionally navigate it (but usually only once it's too late for navigation, whether the fatal delay is due to laziness, fear, or pride).

Also, that season (Louie, Season 3) is brilliant, particularly the date night episode with Liz (the one who later dies).

Gonna need you to cite your sources on that for, uh, ya know research purposes and whatnot.

haha I just deep dove into that dude's twitter looking for the NYC subway video that's shared in the Coronavirus thread. because of the ad blocking extensions/configs I have on chrome, Twitter posts never fully display properly - so I clicked on the link someone posted & scrolled through non stop until I found the video. along the way there were some prime Pakistani broads etc.

but, I can link you this. time stamped.

can you, or anyone tell me who this piece of ass is in the background? I mean, Goddamn..

Yeah, I get that, it's just awfully clumsy. Like, it's not even mentioned or referenced directly ever again IIRC.

It's a fantastic show, though.

It's probably the only show that could be reasonably called "clumsy" that I would defend against the accusation. And I'm not sure that I can succinctly articulate why.

For a lot of other series with loose plots, like Twin Peaks (which I think suuuuucks), I think it's laziness and sloppiness passed off as eccentricity and artistry. But, with Louie, I think they're both sufficiently upfront about the plot contradictions (for instance, with his family changing constantly - from having a sister, to having a brother and a shallow and shitty mom and a perverted dad, to being an only child of a struggling but loving single mother, to having a different sister) and sufficiently precise in other areas of the show to let me believe it's not just incompetence.

I'm sorry, good sir, but I absolutely must decline

Louis talked about that on Opie and Anthony. He said that people don't notice or care much, and that he just wants to tell stories a certain way. Basically he doesn't care about that sort of continuity.

I don't agree that people -never- care about those things, but I don't think it matters with that type of show.

For more traditional dramas or even sitcoms it would matter. For instance, even minor inconsistencies in Everybody Loves Raymond did bother me.

Btw, Louie seasons rankings:
1. Season 3
2. Season 4
3. Season 1
4. Season 2
5. Season 5
