I don't think I've eaten cereal in like 10 years.

Forgot how good Captain Crunch is

the first season was mint. the second season fell off hard.

Is it faithful to the book? Gaiman's a good author, but usually not to my taste. I really enjoyed American Gods though. About the only sort of urban fantasy I can stand, along with Tim Powers' Fault Lines novels.

never read it.

in season one there were all these cryptic intros regrading different religions. it was creepy but done really well.

then the second season didn't follow that format & just felt too rushed - STARZ or whateverthefuck having problems, Gillian Anderson leaving the cast etc.

Mad Sweeney is an awesome character though.

So yeah, there are seemingly a lot of people who are surprisingly comfortable with the sacrifice of millions of people for ''the economy.''

Coooool cool. Cool cool cool.

One dude in here told me that as long as only 25% of the population died, he'd consider it a successful virus fighting effort.

Some people are just retarded.

Chris Cuomo has Corona

Are you ever going to tell us what you meant by having a “loose kitchen”, or whatever?

Wait, entropy? IS IT ENTROPY?

No. Equipment in the kitchen that is is not cleaned or thoroughly maintained, not symmetrically organized. Most importantly the pantry needs to have some space. In some cases in my house things would get loose and fall around in my kitchen. I can't have that... when my food is marinating in the fridge it needs to be secure.

You also have to be pretty stupid to not see how a massive loss of life and widespread illness also negatively effects the economy.

I struggle to really give a flying fuck

I wonder if Trump goes full asshole and makes fun of him on Twitter. That was my thought seeing it

I hope that would be beneath even Trump, but he did just compare his viewership of addressing the nation to the Bachelor finale for TV ratings

Are you serious? Who?

If at least 75% of the total national population survives, he did his job.
If the economy doesn't sink into a Great Depression, he did his job.
If he signs off on efforts to compensate the citizenry for the government mandated shutdowns, he did his job.

We are not China. The government does not have, nor would we at this time allow, such a level of control of the population or the extreme measures they used at the onset of this pandemic. None of the President's of my lifetime would have had a perfect response to this, especially at the onset. So many States have been pretty quick to take stands against Trump and his various efforts pre-Covid. Now they are all clamoring for him to just "make it so". Yet if he waves that government wand, how long before he's thrown under the bus and the court of popular opinion for being too "Draconian" or "Tyrannical"?

You think 80 million deaths would be successfully "doing his job"?

Geeze. @Teppodama literally set the bar for success at “Don’t be worse than the Black Death plague”
