Thread needs less Bernie Bro-ing stupidity and rationalization.

Fucking season 1 of The Wire. It felt like 5 seasons, in a good way. I did forget how amazing it is.
I just finished Rome.

It is a crime that Ray Stevenson is not bigger.

I've been stuck inside for 15 days. It's gotten to the point I'm radicalizing GameStop employees.

Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad?

But what do you suppose is the result when an openly corrupt POTUS openly condones similar behaviour in his associates and subordinates, followed by actively courting military top brass?

Ask the electoral college that elected him.

"Breaking Bad", but BCS is still one of the best shows out there, regardless. It's like watching a sequel/prequel/offshoot/etc, to a cultural phenomenon, that somehow manages to not only be good, but even exceptional, despite everything working against it. It's kind of like "Fargo" in that regard. You knew you thought it was gonna suck, but it didn't.

Where's Jackie boy? I'm starting to get worried.

No thanks. I've already asked the one who said,
Polish. Think about it. The American Army is on a scale that is inconceivable in terms of power. Think of all the money, literally poured into it, for years and years and years.

So, some newly elected president get's to control it for 4 entire years, every 4 years? One man alone, has the ultimate control. It is absurd.

I just think BB is overrated. And the cousins damn near ruined the show for me.

You guys think he is an idiot right? A fool, a nincompoop, a fraud, a moron etc right?

You think he get's to waltz in, control the MIC?

Don't know what you're looking for then, if you didn't like BB. BCS is a lot more methodical in it's approach, as it's not white knuckle tension all the time, but it's the same universe, so I don't know how much you'd like it.

I've only seen the first 2 seasons but I'm enjoying it more than BB (which steals all credit from The Shield).

Don't know about that last point, as "The Shield" didn't invent the antihero, but if you're liking BCS for what it is, just stick with it. It's consistent.

Yeah Odenkirk is just so entertaining.

I don't think any president gets the code, it's all smokes and mirrors imo.

Anyone know how to get this in front of Trump? I feel like it would be wonderful for twitter.

I'm guessing the guy in the picture is either Australian or Floridian.

It seems to me that the hero/antihero distinction has been largely (and thankfully) erased or at least blurred. Morally pure and emotionally perfect heros have always been lame and generally favorited by rubes.

One that stands out in memory is Jon Snow, who is just an incredibly lame character.

Funnily enough, as an anecdote, I had a religious right wing law school classmate whose favorite GOT character was Jon Snow, and he couldn't understand how my favorites were characters like the Hound, Bronn, and Olenna. Thought it was pretty funny given that Snows most heroic act ended up being letting foreigners passage into his country through a literal border wall. Still a lame character.
