So let me get this straight, the N95 masks won't lower the risk of infection for the general public but it will greatly mitigate the risk to health-care workers. Clearly the mask has A.I. built into it, since it can decide who it chooses to protect.

It is warped logic that seems to be based around 'you' being the 'collective you', the citizens in America.

Meaning he is saying 'if the extent of the virus spreading in the US is going to b 'X' with 'Y' deaths, then having a percent of the population buy up all the masks won't really impact that number.

I mean, it might mean it is your neighbour who gets sick and dies instead of you, specifically, but 'you' (the collective citizens) are not saer.
