I think that’s just how combat sports is. Boxing and kickboxing always have some sort of alcohol sponsor.

Most team sports do as well like hockey, baseball, and basketball and football.

I consider "The sport" to be more the athletes that make it up, rather than the league itself. I'll agree the UFC has some degenerate aspects, but it has become an official sports league, and every sport has gambling completely surrounding. Look at the tennis scandal from like 5-10 years ago. That sport represents itself as the standard in class, and it had a worse issue with gambling than the UFC. Dana being an open card playing gambler is less degenerate that the faux front with hundreds and hundreds of fixed matches, like what tennis had.
