I never understood why that place is popular. It feels like an overhyped Olive Garden. If it were just a bakery for cheesecake I would understand it more.
That banana cheesecake is fucking deeeeeelicious

he's coming, fear not

I was working for a company that had bought an old manufacturing plant and converted it to a warehouse. The power factor was all fucked up. The engineer from the utility company came out and told the company that they were going to have to replace the transformers because they weren't using enough power to correct the problem.

Boss came to me and told me it was going to cost a ridiculous number. I said fuck that and I designed and built a capacitor bank. I have had several interactions with electrical engineers that have made me question their education.

I'm an idiot, but come on. If an electrical engineer is going to be designing systems for construction, they cant just put a little note telling me that the system must follow the NEC, and not know dick about the NEC. I will rail their ass on the change order.

Capacitor banks are such a quick easy solution to what used to be a major problem. And now, Utility companies don’t even care how much your power factor is off and sites have all disconnected their cap banks to sit and collect dust. Ones I’ve dealt with anyway.

Lot of what I do now with new job is cogeneration systems for load reduction and emergency backup power. Super new to me (understand the theory, but designing and executing projects is new) since I’m more of a controls guy. Just today whooped my new boss with way more experience making an effective PI Loop for humidity control with their shitty oversized burner and no steam tank

How do you like dealing with the new challenges?

You can pm me for follow up on this but if it’s what I think you’re referencing, it was implying the banned poster (not the unnamed one) is into that which got the post deleted. Banned or not, we try to enforce the accusation clause for anyone using the site.

It was that the banned poster liked Xes that look like Ys, but not that he liked Ys. It's not a problem that it was deleted (who cares, really?), but in my judgment (and obviously I'm not a mod), it wasn't necessary.

A drunk lady just yelled at me because I didn't know where the "absent teeth" bar was and talked to me like a fucking idiot when I explained it was called fucking absinthe.

I need a drink

You should carry a flask.

Tonni is near invincible, and the scary part is he isn't even vouched. Just a lone renegade bastard.

So it wouldn't take much of an investment to win big on @tonni?

I usually do. My bottle is in my bag though. Might have to hit the working man's speakeasy in twenty minutes.

God bless Mardi Gras... But I have to deal with some of the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet for it.
