I still shotgun beers at music festivals and do a SCSA impersonation in my truck bed at them so.....

Edward 40hands still being a thing doesn't surprise me at all.

I only learned recently that the trick is to let em warm up a bit. I never won the speed chug. But i could do way more in a row than most. Now I drink so rarely it's a waste of money and just fridge clutter or another dusty bottle

Last time and only time I played Edward 40hands was with Steel Reserve.
Oh man, Steel Reserve
Think the last time I had that swill was when I hit up Isla Vista with a back full of it
Ditched my friends and woke up on the floor with a bunch of strangers

Good times

Yup that's exactly how I buy beer.... then like once a year my wife will be like wtf get this shit out of here and I end up getting like college level wasted in like an hour and sleeping for 2 days.

Looks like we got college kids renting down the street....

As soon as I get my school ID I'm heading down there to challenge the to a game of Edward 40hands
I predict you will crush those kids and then wish you were dead the next day.

On the topic of alcohol I'm afraid I cannot recommend Another Round (2020).

Great concept but mixed execution and overall quite depressing. Almost worth it for an awkwardly extended scene of Mads dancing, but not quite.

God

It's gotta be so nice to know if you ever get arrested you are getting the rich/celeb version of the legal system and not the one us plebs gotta face on the day to day.

Doesn't sound that special to me. He got a ticky-tack charge and the others were dropped most likely because .02 bac isn't criminal. I've never heard of anything less than .05 being ticketable.

I've never known the police and courts not to stick ya for everything they can. Probably helps to have a lawyer too.

Can someone tell me why Marin County gets to adjust its corona virus rates? It seems like Marin County gets to modify their Covid numbers to make it look like there are less infections than there are, and that those modified numbers are dictating when students and teachers need to go back to classrooms

https://coronavirus.marinhhs.org/progress
This link shows that they have an adjusted rate of 7.4 per 100,000 and an unadjusted rate of 10.7 per 100,000. The move to Red tier requires a rate of under 7, which they do not have.

Nearly 80% of Marin's covid cases are from the population that my friends school district serves and makes up 64% of all students at school.
I'm trying to find the map that had Marin Co. with an asterisk that said something about an Accelerated Economic plan.

The courts are far too arbitrary, to be honest.

When I was a teenager, a drunk dude was driving through the neighborhood and stirring up shit one night. My neighbor across the street yelled at him to slow down. He got out of the car and started screaming at her. I approached him to calm shit down and he shoved me so I swung on him. He ran to his car and pulled out a fucking sledgehammer and swung it at me. He missed, and got in his car to drive off right as cops showed up. He tried to bail but was immediately stopped and arrested. He was charged with misdemeanor assault, and felony assault with a deadly weapon, and a DUI.

He was already on probation apparently. When we went to court to testify on the assault charges, his lawyer got him off with nothing but another 6 months of probation. How the fuck does that work?

The one I worked at didn't do that but we were also a smaller jurisdiction seeing barely over 1200 felony cases a year.

I got a speeding ticket in Quebec that was enough demerits to result in a license suspension. The city took so long to process the charge that I appealed the court and the whole case was dropped on a Charter motion.

The legal system is a bizarre little universe.
