The prosecutor dropped the felony rape charges and he was convicted of a misdemeanor for neglect or some shit. A bullshit, but all-too-common, occurrence. There was a documentary called Audrey and Daisy about both girls' experiences with sexual assault and how the justice system failed them. The guy who raped Daisy's friend admitted to it, and a third dude admitted to taking video on his phone. Before the police were involved, video of Daisy's rape was spread around her school. Daisy went on to be a very prominent figure in raising awareness about sexual assault. It broke my heart when I saw that she ended up killing herself this year, in August.

The lyrics that fuck me up:
