Reason I don't like chess. I just played the computer and got a winning position, but couldn't figure out the tactical approach to finish him off and promote my pawn. Instead of winning quickly I blundered the advantage and had to grind it out for a while. When I analyzed the game afterward, the only immediately winning line was a ridiculous 20+ string of moves involving subtle checks and stuff that I had zero chance of seeing through without messing up.

I feel like you're misinterpreting the data you're seeing. Taken together, the sequence of moves seems improbable but you're disregarding the restricted choice of moves that follow each move/counter move along the way.

Tempting, but how is it organized? I don't know if I could be depended on to keep a schedule.

I only know the basics and a couple of special moves I learned in the sixth grade, but I could probably hold my own.

Nah. While I'm being a little hyperbolic, Lebron in Jordan's era would dominate all the same. The level of athletics and competition is far stronger today. Although, I will say that the rules were a little more fucky in Jordan's days, with guys getting hacked all the time n' shit. It was a far more physical game back then.

The GOAT debate for any sport is always exactly the same. Jordan played in a tougher era than any GOATs before him, etc. Whoever you name as the best will be talked about like you're talking about Jordan, and on and on.

You have to make a move at least once every 24 hours. We'd obviously like games to go faster than that if both people are online but in the event they can't be, the pace definitely allows for a flexible schedule. Could last a 1-3 weeks imo

But if anything I think it shows that Jordan had a competent GM and HOF coach that surrounded him with talent to win Chips.

I also don't think the supporting cast argument favors Lebron. Lebron struggled with his supporting cast during his first years in Cleveland, but since then he's had a myriad of great players around him. As was discussed on this topic ITT before, Lebron has had six teammates in the PER All-Time Top 60. Jordan had zero.

And Wilt also won a Chip and was the rebounding king when KAJ was in the league. And Wilt also dominated Russell in every category when they played.
