Would you admit that I was indeed right, that any non-citizen immigrant is liable to be targeted for harsh immigration enforcement to include lawful permanent residents?

You were referring to the CHNV program when you said it, but yes, Trump has been going after legal immigrants which is outside of what people supported him to do. Like many of his programs, he overreaches because of his lack of finesse. He uses a chainsaw when a knife is the better tool for the job and there is more collateral damage than needed.

Tariffs, DOGE, immigration, federal layoffs — they all suffer from poorly thought out strategies completely devoid of thought.

Okay — if that’s the case, yes you were correct in identifying that Trump would overreach and go after legal immigrants based on minor offenses leading to deportation. I’d like to see it limited to violent crime, but that does not seem to be the case.
