Social War Room Lounge Thread #325: PotWR Edition

I had pressed duck on a trip to Beijing years ago in a fairly upscale restaurant. Very tasty, if in fact that is what it was.

Wanted to quaff a cold beer with it but, since they don't fucking believe in ICE over there, had to settle for lukewarm TsingTao.

Good thing they were dead pigeons

well shit, whats the alternative? i wouldn't imagine it would be much fun trying to eat a bird or any animal that is still alive and kicking. i guess you just gotta cook it a little longer.

but if you have the shame and audacity to eat your steaks blue rare then you may as well just grab a fork and knife and start eating straight from the backside of a cow. the cow can still be saved god damn it, but your dignity can not.

this comment had me rolling

Imagine you are granted a call to make sure your children are safe at home and you use it for legal advice on whether you can go to the bathroom or not.

was this on purpose or what? smfh head. nobody there knew or told him that it will come off or what?

that is kind of funny though so i wanted to share. i don't think this deserves its own thread and i can't find any recent jd vance threads because everybody seems to have forgotten that he even exists ever since his running mate got elected as president so i'm putting this shit here.

this cop just gets shot through the neck by a bunch of dopers on the run and keeps his cool and maintains control of the scene while bleeding to death. his first reaction after going on a pursuit for some criminals and getting shot up? "my wife is going to be pissed."

lol @ this kid chirping off the cop who wanted to arrest him for hurting his feelings.

and that junkie getting interrogated is good shit too. i only came up here for the coke. wham bam thanks for the coke now put me back in my cell. jeff loves his soda.

Who's with me!!?

dude, it's all over the news.
Trump is sending gang members there.
I'd like to see him send that skank gov from Maine there.

@Rob Battisti remember this exchange we had a few months ago?
I wouldn't move and I certainly wouldn't move to Canada of all places but if...I was an immigrant I would think about weighing my options right about now.

ITT you have people making excuses or trying to downplay the POTUS trying to extort a media company for publishing something he didn't like, America has crossed a constitutional Rubicon imo.
Any kind of immigrant? The legal kind?
If they're not citizens then yeah. TPS had already been revoked for Venezuelans and it's not just Venezuelans either, Biden instituted the CHNV parole program to facilitate entry of certain eligible nationals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela and now the program is no longer accepting applications or extensions.

People who had been living and working here legally for years after fleeing dictatorship and disaster are now seeing their lives turned upside down, tragic if you ask me.
Since then its become clear that Trump's immigration crackdown has extended well beyond illegal immigrants to include green card holders

Trump's Immigration Crackdown Expands to Green Card Holders
A permanent U.S. resident, or green card holder, Mr. Orellana is facing deportation for trying to swindle a store out of $200 eight years ago when, his wife said, he was struggling with substance abuse.
The detention of Mr. Orellana and other green card holders is the latest sign that the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration is expanding far beyond people who are in the country illegally. Tasked with fulfilling President Trump’s campaign promise to carry out mass deportations, federal agents have been detaining permanent U.S. residents convicted of years-old minor offenses and moving to deport them.
But under Mr. Trump, the Department of Homeland Security has taken a sprawling view of who should be targeted for deportation. A D.H.S. document reviewed by The New York Times said that Mr. Orellana was subject to removal from the United States for obtaining $200 “by false pretenses.”

Would you admit that I was indeed right, that any non-citizen immigrant is liable to be targeted for harsh immigration enforcement to include lawful permanent residents?
