I'd put Big Trouble in Little China near the top. Repo Man should be there too. The Tarantino ones are great movies but not really cult classics. Pulp Fiction was a hit and had a bunch of nominations, for example.
I'd definitely rank Big Trouble over anything Tarantino did. Not just in terms of cult status, but overall.

IMBD top 400 “cult” movies. I guess it doesn’t say classic but still seems to me like it’s not right

That reminds me; I forgot all about Heavy Metal and Brazil. Two of my all time favorites. Never seen or heard of Freaks so I'm surprised to see it so high up on the list.

Can't agree here.... Come on bruh. We are close to the same age so saying Jack Burton lines was a thing for years.

Never seen the first and heard of freaks but haven't seen.

By the way, I feel I must add Death Becomes Her to my list of old favorites, though whether it is a cult classic or not I don't know. Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, and Bruce Willis. Just fucking hilarious.

Ah man, you should definitely watch Heavy Metal. Have you ever read the magazine? It's like it if came completely to life and had a kickass musical score to match. I could be tempted to say that Tarantino stole the format for Pulp Fiction from Heavy Metal.

There's bajillion movies I haven't seen. I expect that when I'm old and infirm I'll spend my days catching up :)
