Can we just allow tobacco for all ages now so I don’t have to wait as the person tries to describe and point to the one they like behind the counter?

You said they shouldn’t be classed as mass shootings if they’re gang related. That’s what I’m saying I don’t agree with. We’ve always broken categories of crime down by motivation whether political, passion, financial, etc. But we don’t say “oh now it’s not a murder. Now it’s not a mass shooting.”

I didn’t explain it properly. I don’t think the gang mass murder stats should be in the same stats as the random shootings. There should be a separation but obviously it’s still a mass shooting. So yes, you’re right, it’s a mass shooting but when people say “mass shootings” they usually refer to random killing sprees and it gets confusing.

Technically speaking that's a trike.
It's good that Kawasaki keeps pushing new ground, even if their more outlandish concept vehicles never see production.
Yamaha as well, to a lesser degree. Unfortunately the rest of the Japanese big 4 (Honda and Suzuki) seem to have given up.
Honda is focusing on their smaller capacity commuters (which admittedly is massive volume) and Suzuki is just repackaging bikes from a couple of decades ago, with minor tweaks to meet emissions standards (and destroy their throttle response).

I was wondering what the rest of the story was there after your original comment; thanks. Just goes to show there are shitty people of all kinds sprinkled all over. I have pointed out here more than once that there is a certain type of person that gets aggressively and angrily defensive when they know they're in the wrong about something and someone confronts them about it. On Sherdog, it's hard to see it as anything other than a kind of childishness since people are bound by certain rules, but in real life that shit can get cray cray, yo. People will go right off the deep end. Those people will do any kind of insane thing (so sometimes one of no great consequence as well) rather than admit their mistake. I believe it's a sign of an intense self-image problem. Hard to say. Whatever it is, it disgusts me every time I witness it, because serial cheaters often use this tactic to deflect accusations of cheating (though it has a bazillion applications, sadly). Donald Trump is clearly one such.

For example, I nearly got run over in a cross walk because the driver breezed through the stop sign and didn't really see me until the last second. I cursed him out. He gave me a "Well, I said sorry," as though that helps me if I get hit by his truck. There was a brief exchange as I walked on after which he and his two sons appeared ready to hop out and have a go--the one in the back seat got mouthy and clearly tried to open the door but it was locked (automatically, I presume)--so I started back toward them because who turns their back in that situation? That's when I looked Dad dead in the eyes and he saw something there that caused him to instantly rethink the whole thing--he said something I couldn't hear and continued on into the intersection. I had "going postal" written all over my face, I imagine, because that was a hill I was totally ready to die on in that moment. I should only be so lucky the next time. The older brother in the back seat looked like a jock so if I failed to take him out completely before I adrenaline dumped I would definitely be in for a hurtin' even if the younger one was relatively ineffectual. But I digress.

Regardless of the outcome, the point is that 3 guys, all relatively a fair bit younger and fitter than me, were ready to give my arse a beating because I dared be angry they almost ran me over. If their apology were sincere they ought to find my anger quite understandable, wouldn't you say?

Well one term we use in law enforcement that has kind of fallen out of favor in the public discourse is “rampage killings,” which is basically a mass shooter event where the motivation is closer to what you’re thinking of. Some characteristics of rampage killings are multiple shootings at least partially in public by a perpetrator who has no cooling off period between violence and the motivation is personal for them. It describes the school shootings or workplace violence but excludes gang violence or terrorism as motivations. But a term like that I think is helpful to use even though it’s become less common to hear now.

This all started because Dems and libs changed the definition of a mass shooting after Sandy Hook (most notably GVA and MST). But now they don't like that since it shows that there are far more athletic and explosive mass shooters than evil whitey.

I remember this article, "there have been 45 school shootings in 46 weeks..."

I was like, wait...what?? seriously?

  • We included accidental discharge of a firearm as long as the first two parameters are met, except in instances where the sole shooter is law enforcement or a security officer.
  • We included injuries sustained from BB guns, since the Consumer Product Safety Commission has identified them as potentially lethal.

I have no idea tbh...but their definition, and the number they cite "45 in 46 months" is incredibly dishonest and obviously used to generate fear, or fuel for partisan talking points.

eg: "you're against gun regulation?? HOW DARE YOU!! DID YOU KNOW THERE WERE 45 SCHOOL SHOOTINGS LAST YEAR!?!?"
