The way they do it here is the liquor control board marks up the prices 90-100%, then applies a similar percentage in liquor tax. For example a fifth of well liquor goes for about $23. So about 18 USD.

I visited Washing state a couple of years ago and thier liquor taxes were fucking insane. I think they had a surcharge tax on bottles bigger than a 5th on top of thier already high liquor taxes.

There are a lot of legitimate complaint about PA's government liquor monopoly but there was one small benefit in the terms of purchasing power. When craft beer first exploded we got like every craft beer from around the country due to the purchasing power of buying for every beer distributor making it economically feasible.

Probably why I can also get just about any whiskey made in the world as well.

@Jesus H. Sherdog, misinterpreted that one for a second. I'm more familiar with the other meaning of shabu shabu ("ice"/crystal meth).

I think there are a few different types of rightists invoked there so you'd be less likely to find someone to give six yeses. If I had to do my own @Social Distance Warrior-style yes/no idiot screener, I'd go with:

1. The MSM regularly makes up stories to help Democrats/hurt Republicans.
2. Material fraud is common in elections.
3. Climate change might or might not be real, but the threat is definitely exaggerated for control.
4. Everyone knows that immigrants reduce wages, but elites support it because of cheap labor, votes, and/or a desire to destablize society.
5. Most academic studies are just ways to dress up the opinion of the people doing the study.
6. BLM is a terrorist organization. If they really cared about black lives, they'd protest against blacks committing so many crimes.

Not sure you actually got @Tycho Brah's attention, but this is very good in terms of framing the questions in ways that would more likely elicit affirmative/honest responses.

$80,000 really? Is that the real number or did you make that up

My bad on him paying for it. It was approximately $80,000 worth of work, but he got it done for free...somehow. I guess some dentist out there is a really big Mighty Ducks fan.

The number does seem absurd though, unless his new teeth were diamond tipped, but that's what's quoted in all the stories. Maybe his jaw needed work too? I don't know. That's a lot of money for teeth.

I don't mind state ran stores it's just with the Mormons our liquor stores are tiny and don't have much variety.

Best Scotch they have as an example is Mac 12 and their Johnnie Walkers tops out at the Black Label. NO, not the double black Sinatra edition but the regular black....

some of you linux bros might know answer to this. different distros have different date/time syncing commands and then there is a manual tool to set it where you just type:
date 032611402021 where this string of numbers represents date-time-year.

My question is when doing it manually (rather than using a sync with UTC tool like ntpd), does it matter that it is not precise to seconds but only minutes. Being as some systems will behave dysfunctionally without precise time, do systems require perfect precision (to the second) or just rough precision (around 60 to 120 seconds precision)?

I know at least half of those words

That's absurd

I don't agree with the government's position, but that commenter and the Forbes author are both wrong about what a favorable holding would entail. It would not mean the government can raid houses to confiscate guns.

You can review all the briefs here: https://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/caniglia-v-strom/.

I don't think the government will prevail, though. In a vacuum, I could see a majority of Alito/Roberts and some combination of other justices not named Sotomayor siding with the government. But, with the amount of political wind in this case and the fact that Alito/Thomas/Kavanaugh are overtly politically partisan, I just don't see how a majority can form.

As an aside, if you happened to see any of the train wreck filings by the Trump team after the 2020 election, this is a good example of high-quality legal work by both parties in this case.

What is Maui onion ?
I’m from Maui so I had to include it on the poll, but it’s a really popular flavor for potato chips here in Hawaii.

Maui onions themselves are a kinda small sweet onion. They have a very unique, delicious flavor. Very sweet and mild for an onion. They’re mostly grown in Kula, Maui.

I love these kinds of posts! Congrats are you working a program or on your own?
Thanks man!!! I haven't been to a meeting yet although I probably will at some point. I guess I needed to learn to stand on my own first. Of course my friends and family have been very supportive.

I'm being completely serious when I say that the WR Lounge has acted as a support group for me. It's not always easy and the positive affirmations really help. Plus I get to live vicariously through the alcohol-fueled (mis)adventures of other Loungers which is actually pretty fun.
