Jesus man you can't help but lie, and that is shit from this very thread

I just did a quick forum search to see if I could learn more about this extensive background you have working with doctors. I thought you might be a shit wiping aide or something. Seems you were below this even, a 68x. You said you worked in mental health and counseled military members. I'm sure you know a little bit about a few things at least, maybe enough to quiz me a bit or something? Come on, don't disappointment now.

Serious question.

Do you feel nurses are disproportionately overpaid compared to doctors considering the substantial differences in the amount of schooling and overall financial debt accrued?

Also, do other doctors you work with feel the same?

It's not as simple as that. He also claimed to breeze through a top 15-20 med school, and treats being a physician like any 9-5 while advancing his skills on the shitter.

I didn't say it was a breeze. Medical school took a lot more work hours than anything I've ever done before. The volume was high, but the content was very easy. Rank of med school likely has very little to do with any of this.

A lot of physicians have a normal work schedule. Probably around 20% of physicians work part-time (total <40 hours a week). You can see some doctors have pretty reasonable schedules from Medscapes survey:
http://www.medscape.com/features/slideshow/compensation/2016/public/overview#page=25

This doesn't include time spent doing paperwork, which for some people, might add several hours more per week. This also doesn't break it down by specialty. In some specialties, 70%+ of doctors are seeing patients for less than 40 hours a week.

Yeah, i'm sure "med school" is a breeze when it culminates with a 2 year certificate from a community college to draw blood at the donation RV.

Nurses get paid a lot. I know some who are getting $50 an hour, and I know in some parts of the country, they can make more. Seems crazy to me considering how short their school is. Meanwhile, the poor social workers are busting their butts with often more years of education but barely making rent. I'm all for working people making enough money to have a nice life, including those with lower skilled jobs. Maybe physicians need a pay raise. In general, pay for physicians has been pretty stagnant for a long time. I generally don't really talk about pay with anyone else. I have of course heard other people complaining about overpaid nurses before, but some people complain about everything.

@WandyWiolentFan I'm curious why you ask.

I have a family member who is pre-med, and I just hope they are making the right decision. I've talked to them about how much nurses make but they aren't interested in just "good money" - they want the money and more importantly, the prestige.

I don't doubt their ability to make it thru all the way tho. My concern is more with the financial stress on the family considering we're working class.

The thought of having the same arguments on Sherdog ten years from now with the same yokels makes me want to cancel my internet.

I'm not sure what's going on here, it just seems odd to be so incredulous at the claim that one is a doctor. Anyway, as you all were...
You're probably one of the most gullible people with one of the worst grasps of common sense and logic I've ever encountered. I think you and Luba will make for a very solid power-imbalance friendship.

Sounds like a typical pre-med. It will be interesting to see if this person actually makes it. It's a long, arduous path. Regarding loans, luckily there are a lot of programs out there for loan repayment and forgiveness. A lot of people, including me, are praying the PSLF program stays around long enough to wipe out their debt.

You are by far the most deplorable person here. You have a history of posting pictures of dead babies and coat hangers in pro-life threads. You're a sick individual who should not be judging anyone.

You're still mad about that? Wasn't that in like 2009? You're a psycho.

I don't really know the history or claims to accurately asses the probabilities of a random poster being a doctor, but the claim, in a vacuum, is not outrageous. My post was asking for clarification on why the claim is outrageous.

I was away for an hour or so
Luba still pretending to be a doctor?

Yep

You need to go back several pages and read through this entire process. It's clear as day. And I say that as someone that had never met Luba before this thread and had no opinion on him at all, let alone knew he had ever existed.

The only reason you don't pull that shit anymore is because you're afraid of being banned, again.

Im over it. I just want everyone here to understand what type of immoral scumbag you are as you attempt to pass judgement on others.

You're totally over it.

I remember talking to Cuffs a couple times back then about what a stalkery little creep you were becoming. It looks like you've just been slipping ever since. I think you're probably going to kill yourself, and I've gotta say I don't hate the idea.

Dunno about the rest of you, but I hold fundamentally true the right of each and every forum poster on the internet to ridicule and harass anyone that tells ridiculous lies about who they are irl. Nobody forces someone to come on here and claim they less than half-assed their way through medical school because they are just so great that giving a medical degree their full attention and effort was a waste of time and, indeed, beneath their innate awesomeness. You start claiming to be some sort of doctor prodigy with absurd, sketchy bull and it's only right that people give you shit.
And boy is it fun.
