I will revisit this thread when work isn't hell on earth and I actually feel like posting again, but a few quick shout-outs.

@Arkain2K makes great threads and the indexes make his OP's the best on Sherdog, and it's not even close. I know how much work and effort it takes to make threads worthwhile on Sherdog and that's exactly what Arkain does (for free). Be appreciative of his efforts.

The best thread was, by far (and one of the best in Sherdog history), the 2016 Live Presidential Election thread.

Tbh I expected more meltdowns. I feel like it was kind of a tempest in a tea pot this time around. Maybe everyone just hated the whole process so much that even with Hillary losing to who and how she did, my fellow lefites and I couldnt really drag up the energy to totally freak out. Plenty of salt to go around but I really feel like we should have had some major meltdowns.

The Wikileaks threads were great for legit info.

The 2016 election thread was by far one of the most entertaining threads in Sherdog history. There will never be another one like it because there will never be a more entertaining election in our lifetimes. It wasn't big on info but it was the best in terms of dialogue, shitposting, and a goldmine to re-read from start to finish (which I did in parts, took about five days to work my way through but it was so worth it).

Mick's a good mod. Kind of trolly as a poster (though entertaining), but I have the highest respect for his modding.

We have a really good bunch now, IMO. I think Zank gets my vote this year for Most Improved Poster.

He's the only mod that feels the need to make his presence known as a mod. He just has to edit thread titles he doesnt like or agree with. Every single other mod posts as just one of the boys and let's us do our war room thing so long as we don't get too crazy.

• Best Shit Poster: Not to be confused with Worst All Around Poster. Shitposting is an art form that not all can ever hope to achieve success at. Makes terrible posts but brings humor (intentionally or not) that we can enjoy. @ripskater
• Best Threads: Has a strong history of making threads on issues that are topical and people actually care about. Diversity of topics and relevant links provided regularly. @Arkain2K

• Worst Threads: Regardless of posting quality, this person just cannot seem to generate threads that anyone cares about one way or the other

• Best Liberal Shill and Best Conservative Hack: Posters that truly go the distance to defend at all cost anything that falls on their side of the spectrum. Sets the bar for rejecting reality or stubbornly refusing to concede a lost cause. Really puts in work.

• Best Unassuming Moderate: Carefully toes the line between the political spectrum more closely than anyone else. May be extremely hard to pin down on any position. Something of a rarity.
• Most Racist: Whether they know it or not, this person takes the cake for their deep seeded racial prejudice. May be in denial, may be openly proud. All shades of racism included.
• Best Election Coverage: Award for person that specifically provided the best threads/content related to the 2016 United States Presidential election. Pluses included coverage having been over an array of content, diligent work ethic.

I think we forget that our mods were just fellow posters; they don't go to Mod Academy where they're stripped of their biases or human nature. We're just not there yet
