The guy who constantly insults other posters asks me if I feel better after calling him out for insulting other posters. Autism confirmed. Seek help.

I'm good, man. Not everyone who disagrees with you or doesn't think highly of you has some kind of problem. Your life will go better if you realize that. Cheers.

Cool, man, I'm also super cool, too. My life and self-image are completely reliant on what you think of me, and this isn't some red herring on your part to deflect from the fact that I called you out for being a dick to people, something which you can't defend because you're a dick to people. Nobody can see through your superior digressions, genius.

Anyway, are you voting this year?

  • Someone that just genuinely brings non-troll value to the war room. Makes intelligent posts, less prone to vitriolic diatribes. @Zankou - I enter a lot of threads hoping Zank has weighed in on them. Special mentions to @Rex Kwon Do and @Rod1 this year.
  • Worst All Around Poster: Someone that needs to run full speed into the ocean and never return. Trolling is unfunny and probably should be given the boot as they are not even fun to mock. - honestly there are too many to award just one
  • Best Shit Poster: Not to be confused with Worst All Around Poster. Shitposting is an art form that not all can ever hope to achieve success at. Makes terrible posts but brings humor (intentionally or not) that we can enjoy. @M3t4tr0n easily
  • Best Threads: Has a strong history of making threads on issues that are topical and people actually care about. Diversity of topics and relevant links provided regularly. @Arkain2K has beautifully organized threads and doesn't get nearly enough credit for them.
  • Worst Threads: Regardless of posting quality, this person just cannot seem to generate threads that anyone cares about one way or the other. @TheStruggle seems to have a track-record of becoming illiterate while writing thread titles, that's got to be worth something.
  • Best Liberal Shill and Best Conservative Hack: Posters that truly go the distance to defend at all cost anything that falls on their side of the spectrum. Sets the bar for rejecting reality or stubbornly refusing to concede a lost cause. Really puts in work. @Jack V Savage and @Fawlty and @Quipling vs. @KONE and @Hans Gruber and @Blackened - all stick pretty firmly to their ideological guns (though that impression could just be a result of the same discussions being repeated around here ad naseum, I'm not sure any fall cleanly on one side of the political spectrum)
  • Best Unassuming Moderate: Carefully toes the line between the political spectrum more closely than anyone else. May be extremely hard to pin down on any position. Something of a rarity. @panamaican
  • Most Racist: Whether they know it or not, this person takes the cake for their deep seeded racial prejudice. May be in denial, may be openly proud. All shades of racism included - not something I'm particularly keen on awarding, probably someone I have on ignore
  • Best Election Coverage: Award for person that specifically provided the best threads/content related to the 2016 United States Presidential election. Pluses included coverage having been over an array of content, diligent work ethic. @Lead

Later this month I might crack into the zombie-like horde of dipshits who have infested the WR this year, but here are some of my positive thoughts. It won't be a particularly long post.

Liberal of the Year: @Quipling

I don't know how I missed noticing the guy before. Intelligent, argues well, knows his shit, and doesn't fall for illiberal nonsense. Did an exceptional job w/the prediction thread too.

Conservative of the Year: @panamaican

This year, one of the most valuable (rare) traits in a conservative has been the ability to represent opposing points of view fairly in your arguments. Pan has done this consistently, and has kept sane in a land of goddamn lunatics.

Intellectual Courage Award: @Madmick

Similar to Pan he kept his sanity, but mick was attacked nonstop by the shit-right as a traitor, shill, and all of that. Rejecting Trump for precisely what he is, even though a Trump victory would seal a conservative majority in every branch of government for years to come, takes some no-shit integrity. (Josh is going to hit me when I get home tonight)

Poster of the Year: @Jack V Savage

No surprise coming from me I know. But in addition to being in the short-list group here that is the smartest and most well-informed, JVS is the one who most affected my perspective on the most issues, with good arguments and caution against being reactionary.

Mod of the Year: All fucking mods must fucking hang. Lead and Ruprecht both look good swinging from a tree though- good choices if you're into that sort of thing.

Yeah, Quipling is really good. Not active enough for me, though. And it was hilarious seeing the WR right-wing hivemind turn on Mick and inaccurately label him a lefty and huge Clinton fan just for not being fanatical enough in his conservatism or a loyal Republican. I guess he did show some courage.

Ed: Oh, @sloppypie is another great poster who deserves mention, though he hasn't been around much.

Making @Ruprecht a mod was definitely the best WR development of the year. Probably could have nominated him for best poster over Zank this year, come to think of it.

I nominate Rup every year, but he didn't post much or memorably this year.

Ruprecht's modship was a key move. His posts tend to be relatively reasonable, and so sometimes unexciting despite their excellent quality, and this makes them go a bit under the radar.

he's seemingly reasonable, however his mind is cast in iron. No argument can move him.

@ehtheist identifies as a woman, as you well know. Are you so much of a bigot that you can't respect people's pronouns, or is this just you being your regular self- a dick?
You act like a dick, I call you out, and you call me names. Can you do me a favour and demean some more random posters like you always do, cause that's a classy act.

You're the most dishonest, uncharitable, condescending prick on this forum, and in the WR, that's saying something. I should tell you rumor has it you have autism, so I'm not even sure half of this is registering, so to spell it out for you, you act like a dick, and people dislike that.

I just want to give a shout out to those that broke Sherdogs first rule. There are no females on Sherdog.

@Jackie Blue @IngaVovchanchyn

Good to have a variety of views, and the estrogen vote has been woefully under represented in the WR.
