Who said anything about a “tipping point”? He’s one of my noms for worst POTY, and I was giving one example as to why. This Is a thread in which we literally are supposed to look back over the past year and categorize various posters FFS, it’s amusing that you get so upset about it.

My criticism of the pic, btw, wasn’t simply that he posted it but that he didn’t own up to his..ahem.. “honest mistake” when it was pointed out. Honest mistakes happen, but both of you guys are guilty of doing practically no research at all on your supposed points—and then not owning up to it.

What you may call a "spaghetti at the wall poster" may very well be someone that made a point, you had not real retort, but some weak tangent like OMG wrong pics of shitty Detroit and they realized you had nothing to offer. Some of us are busy IRL. Nostradumbass drops a wisdom bomb on you, you scramble and have nothing, and he moves on while you pine away. It's kind of funny now that you have pointed that out.

I love that fairy tale. I’ll admit you piqued my curiosity Whip, because “scrambling and having nothing” doesn’t really sound like me—so I looked back at the thread to see what I responded with. It was this post, which I not only gives an accurate assessment of Detroit’s progress but contains 3 different sources supporting my argument.

I’m certainly not saying it’s a utopia. But just last month, they got an almost 14 million dollar grant to revitalize the city’s parks; here’s an article from 2 years ago about 12 different projects set to revitalize the city further; last year Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert announced that he was putting half a billion dollars into revitalizing Detroit neighborhoods; and lastly, here’s an article which rightly states that despite massive improvements in the city, there’s still quite a ways to go. And that’s true. Having been so reliant on manufacturing jobs, Detroit is the poorest big city in the US. But yes—under Dem leadership, massive improvements have been made.

As far as I can tell, he never responded to this and simply pivoted to debating other posters at that point.

Whats ironic to me is that this little trip down memory lane that we just took demonstrates our posting styles in a nutshell:
—Mr. Dumbass posts unsourced talking points complete with fake news pic and tucks dick in the face of actual facts.
—I provide the aforementioned actual facts.
—You have basically no knowledge of the situation, don’t really feel like looking into it, but don’t let that stop you from making a bunch of inaccurate, emotional assumptions.

That literally demonstrates exactly who we are as posters. Stay salty, bud.

Best Poster: @Fake Doctor Generally stays above the shit-flinging that the residents retards here like to engage in all the time, and he makes a lot of quality posts which not only bring up good points, but many of them are written in a way that encourages people to stop & think.

Worst Poster: @Rational Poster or @idrankyourbeer They shit up every single thread they post in with incoherent garbage that makes reddit retards look smart. And they never fucking stop posting.

Best TS: @EndlessCritic Brings up lesser known but still important issues such as the Canadian residential school scandal and how a lot of that was likely bullshit. And he's happy to stay in the thread and hash it out unlike a lot of others who puss out and leave after a couple disagreements.

Worst TS: @PEB Enough has been said about this dickface by others. He should have his thread starting privileges revoked.
