Patty Mayo vids are so fuck but are also incredibly hilarious at the same time.

@Jack V Savage was the $1,200 dinner at French Laundry?

No, though that's come close.

In Vegas, I saw a $40K bottle of wine at Michael Mina. Obviously didn't get that, but it illustrates kind of how meaningless the number is.

BTW, biggest disappointments at a top restaurant were probably Chez Pannise (*great* wine that I ended up tracking down and ordering--for obviously way less than it cost at the restaurant, though) and Wayfair Tavern. CP wasn't bad, but it just didn't come close to living up to expectations. WT was kind of bad, though it wasn't actually that expensive.

@PolishHeadlock2

I'd still like an answer on if GF at the time was dissapointed you didn't pop the question when you took her to a super fancy dinner and she didn't find a ring in her champagne glass.

$670 for what was supposed to be an engagement dinner but I didn't get the ring back from the jeweler in time so it was just a nice/expensive dinner.

There's a part of me, a big part of me admittedly, that when I finally get the truck paid off is debating dropping like $500 or more on a nice bottle of Scotch or Bourbon but then I remember the stuff I like, barely ever cracks $100 and I don't see the point in dropping almost $500 for like a 20-25 year aged bottle when the same brand I already know I like the 12.

I don't know if she was expecting me to pop the question but I don't think she cared because that restaurant was one of her bucket list places.

I popped the question the very next weekend at another place.

sorry, but 40K is fu*king ridiculous.

this is why there are marxist revolutions. when people are paying that much shit for a bottle of wine, only to piss it out a couple hours later...that's just abhorrent...bourgeois to the extreme

One of my favorite Chef's in Philly is a French Laundry alum.

That's another of my wife's bucket list places

I always like seeing these

That 70s Show premiered in 1998 and was set in 1976

If a show premiered in 2019 with a similar premise it would be set in 1997

Yeah, though who knows if anyone actually buys it. Maybe they just put it on the menu to make the other stuff look reasonable.

Alcohol can get really expensive. Especially with Cognac, Whiskey and Wine. IT's all about how long it's been aged and the rarity of it.

What a crappy show that would be.

Who was the guy that posted in the OT whenever he bought expensive liquor and fast food?

My wife had it nailed that today was the day, and was giving me googly eyes the whole day til it happened lol

She would have either dumbed me or strangled me in my sleep if I'd left her hanging

Apparently she cried to her friends that I took her on a getaway weekend a month earlier to see her favorite band and I didn't ask then, when she had thought that was it.

Fuck! I know who you are talking about but I cannot remember right now. He would post pics and everything.

That's a given, and you wouldn't have to worry about me bringing my BF like a lot of these guys would do.

Amazing how fast they get the losers out of these stadiums when they misbehave. Look at this rally, These people are having a blast! Won't see this at a Sleepy Joe event.

And people say Republicans are anti gay. yet all these people in the audience are dancing to the YMCA.

I had a $30 bottle of beer once. It was good, just not $30 good.

GF from a while back had a $30 cup of coffee when that cat poop coffee thing started. I imagine it wasn't that good.
