I was sad we didn't see more of cung le and that he didn't come to ufc a bit earlier.
I went to this. My first ufc event.
Yep. Looking at some of his early MMA fights you can see the speed difference between 28 year old Cung and 35 year old Cung. It's a shame he didn't switch to MMA earlier.
Easily the best night for MMA. Having multiple screens pays off though none of the best fights overlapped. Seeing Wand land knees from the clinch again was fucking awesome. Too bad it was Cung Le.

I like how Joe Rogan was bitching about that stoppage. Shit was late.
Is Cung Le possibly the greatest traditional Martial Artist, that actually did a couple movies and film first before join the MMA world? feels like it to me.

The Stann fight was amazing, they were both swinging for the fences and Wanderlei got dropped like 3 times but came backWand had some other fantastic brawls in the UFC, like against Bisping, and both Franklin fights... but since there was no finishes, and Wand lost both of the Aces fights (I thought the first one was the perfect example of a draw, but whatever) they don't get mentioned a lot.
Both guys almost got finished in their second battle (Franklin said he went out at the end of the second round, and got woken up by Wand's GnP making his head bounce on the canvas)
People mostly remember the Chuck, Jardine, Cung Le, and Stann fights.
(And try to forget the Chris Leben one)
Rampage III was important for Jackson's career revival, but the cheap shots after the KO while the ref was trying to drag Quinton away kinda left a bad taste...
