It's cool they just let a woman who enslaved and tortured an entire town for weeks act like she's the hero and then just dip out scot free.

Also, where does a 500lb Gorilla sit? Anywhere he likes;)

Wanda is one of the most powerful Enhanced beings on the planet. You'd need a full scale military operation to bring her in, and even if it worked, the casualties would be horrendous.

I thought she was a good person. Wouldn't she turn herself in willingly to atone for her sins?

And that's a pretty poor excuse anyway. You don't just let a criminal go because they are too strong.

Then why aren't we invading China to liberate the one million Muslims being tortured and raped in concentration camps? Why is Saudi getting a free pass for murdering a man in one of their embassies, then cutting up his corpse? Might always makes Right. Anyone who says different is trying to sell you something:rolleyes:

What the fuck? I'm talking about comic book logic silly. They didn't let Thanos just retire on a farm. They made a hit squad to hunt his ass down.

That "they don't know what you sacrificed for them" line was horrifically stupid. It's her fault they were imprisoned in the first place. She's not being a Saint for letting them go and giving up her fake family.

Thanos wiped out half the universe. Also, killing him wasn't the primary mission; they wanted to use the Infinity Stones to reverse the Blip. It wasn't until they arrived there they realised that Thanos had destroyed them. Only then did Thor go for the head.

And I agree that Wanda has a lot to answer for. However, there are good reasons why no one is going to try and punish her,

- Wanda had basically undergone a complete psychotic break caused by intense grief/PTSD. While that in no way excuses her actions, it does mitigate them slightly.

- As I pointed out before, Wanda was able to resist attempts by SWORD, an agency specifically set up to deal with, "Sentient Weapons" to break through the Hex. She mind-raped them as easily as she did civilians. When they fired a missile at her, she literally threw it back in their faces. With the Avengers no longer available, the only option for taking Wanda into custody against her will is a full scale military assault. And if Wanda starts throwing full power shots, that means a lot of dead soldiers, and possibly civilians as well.

- Finally, the earth has been invaded by aliens at least twice by now. The powers that be will want to keep Wanda on their side in case someone/something even scarier than her turns up.

Here's a question. If Agatha is the nosey neighbor, where is she gonna live if Ralph and everyone else is free? The hex is gone, but Wanda will need to make living accommodations for Agatha as well.

The Devil is in the details dammit!

So at any point earlier wasWanda aware of what was going on? Or are we suppose to by Agatha mind controlling here the whole time? I think Wanda would have been aware at some point, but maybe didn’t care to question anything. Because Agatha surely could not have mind controller her the instant after she started everything. So both were equally selfish ...

Well, yeah. Wanda does have a nasty habit of making bad situations worse. The Sokovia Accords are of course a direct response to her actions, well intentioned though they were. Mind-raping an entire town of several thousand innocent civilians is going to make normal humans even more nervous about Enhanced beings.

That said, there aren't a lot of Enhanced people around. Banner-Hulk is regarded as a hero. Ant Man and Wasp are, literally, able to keep a low profile whenever necessary. Ghost hasn't been seen for years. The Deadliest Avenger has retired and is training his daughter. War Machine probably still works for the US Military. Natasha and Tony are dead, of course. Cap is either retired or dead. Black Panther, whoever takes up the mantle, will have the full support of one of the most powerful nations on earth, and so won't give a fuck what Americans etc think about him.

Thor is in Outer Space and the rest of the Asgardians are living peacefully in Norway. Pepper Pots is probably too busy running Stark Industries and bringing up her daughter to put on the Armour again. Doctor Strange and the rest of the Sorcerers are focussed on mystical threats; the average civilian doesn't even know they exist.

The only Enhanced people Wanda's actions might effect in the short term and Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Spider-Man.

You go back to Civil War of course and you could say that Stark's actions keeping Wanda cooped up in the compound highlight that he saw the potential for negative reaction to her as not just "gifted" but seriously "different" to the general population to the degree she might not be accepted. My guess though is that her character now will shift more into the kind of space that Strange occupies hidden below the surface in a kind of magic shadow world away from the eyes of most of the population.

The MCU previously deliberately avoided that, having Stark come out in public from the get go, I spose because they felt it had been done so much with the X-men series but perhaps now they will go with more that kind of setting on earth were grand events arent automatically noticed, the world can be threatened/saved without people being aware of it.

You do risk having your setting shift too far away from a recognisable reality IMHO is the world is aware of everything, as it is the Snap and some knowledge of aliens is the difference from our world.

The fact that millions of Americans are watching a series about the Scarlet Witch and Vision is mind boggling awesome.

The average 10 year old MCU fan who never picked up an actual comic knows more about the Marvel pathos than i did at the same age as a casual comic reader.

I doubt it. That one is for the cosplayers.

The Halloween one though... that has mass-produced and sold in every store written all over it.
No more suburban moms wearing a "daddy's little monster" shirt.

Its also more slu...I mean sexy , just like 90% of female halloween costumes.

Now joking aside its looks like more fun, if they were given the choice of the 2 costumes at the same price I guess manywomen will take the one with the bright colors and more funny look .
