ya, i believe it. good money at the right place and right times, people do look down on the work though.Every waiter\waitress goes through this it's known. My daughter still pulls 70k+. My cousin spent a good 2 years trying to find jobs because no one could even come close to paying him what he made as a waiter straight out of college.
I never did waitering and wouldn't attempt it. I do uber eats so I hardly interact with customers, the no tip usually doesn't bother unless I feel like they took it out of the pay because of something i had nothing to do with, such as maybe the order was sitting around for 2 hours before I recieved my notification or if something was left out, i don't control any of that and yet i'll get these weird thumbs downs for shit and hell yes it can be irritating if you had to sit and wait at the restaurant, or you just don't even know what they are on about. My part is simple, i pick the shit up, take it to them, generally leave it on the porch and I don't fuck off or waste time so sometimes I just scratch my head but people are weird. Some people, if you knew how it'd turn out, you just wouldn't work for them but that's just like life on a smaller scale, how many people in our pasts we wouldn't deal with if we knew how things would go?
