this isnt surprising tbh. I was blown away by the lack of professionalism from the professors I met when I went to college.
Once had a professor selling spiral-bound "textbooks" that he personally put together from scanned articles he found and said we could only pay him with cash lol

I personally enjoyed the 4 weeks of instruction on gender/transgenderism in my Environmental Ethics class.

pretty much the same experience.

Had a professor on the first day of class say "It is impossible to fail my class, you just have to show up to the midterm and final, but the textbook is needed to pass both."

made us buy the book from him directly, and it basically was just an answerbook to the questions on the midterm and final that he made.

So the professor pretty much made us pay him directly to pass.

It’s shocking to me a college professor could be that stupid. My guess is he won’t be a college professor for long.

All of my professors in college, save for one or two, were really incredibly smart. They were brilliant people really. And I think most are very smart at the very least. But of course there are some dummies who somehow get through a PhD program and are able to get a job teaching. But that has to be rare.
