Vwagering Discussion Thread v12 (WE'VE MADE A DOZEN!)

Since we are coming to the end of the vbetting season, I am curious if there can be something done to preserve the season for each vbettor, maybe just a couple stats that they can carry on to the next season and strive to bettor themselves.

Is there someone in charge of maintaining this database that we can ask? It may be a complicated thing to do, or it may be a simple thing that hasn't been asked yet.

I would like to propose that a 'season finale' ranking be given, so next season you could try to improve your rank from the previous season.

There would be two numbers given to each vbettor: combined bets won, and vcash at end of season (the richest people stat).

These two stats are available only for the top 5, under the Betting Statistics link.

If they can generate the top 5 for each of these catagories, it seems like they would have the entire list formulated somewhere.

If generating it onto sherdog is problematic, putting it on a generic google drive as a document (hopefully a spreadsheet), would solve that. I would personally volunteer to do all the work of ordering these two stats and PM'ing each member to tell them of their "Season 3 Rankings", if there is an issue of who would do the work.

I just think it would make the Season count for something, and it would be a cool gift to give to all these vbettors who make this forum awesome.

Please consider this request, even though it seems arbitrary. I think it would be really neat to track your progress through the seasons and see if you are actually improving! Maybe in future seasons we can generate a 'winning percentage' stat that can show how you compare to the 'top 5'!

It would make the Reset fun, something like a 'Finishing Line', where you can see where you match up with your fellow vbettor.

for UFC 188 can we get "Fight goes/doesn't to decision" for at least the main card
 
We asked about increasing the number of posters listed in the rankings a few times during Seasons 1 & 2 and they always told us no.

But we do try to keep track of the Top 5 at the end of each Season.

If we keep coming up with tournaments maybe they'll skip the reset
 
Been playing on DK for years now .. Tried the last couple weeks of MMA and am hooked. This is the only site that offers it, def adds a extra interest while watching the fights. I They have the fight card posted up for this weekend already. Im all over Cain and Alverez

I'll always opt for losing on fights as opposed to soccer, at least that way I get to watch the thing that takes my monies. Losing while tracking on scoreboard.com just doesn't compare.
