Yep, it seems like the guys become worse fighters just cause Vitor beat them.

Bisping has one single win at MW to give him any credibility as a top win at MW and that is Stann.

you guys crack me up propping up Vitor for his win over Bisping while tearing down Weidman for his wins over Munoz and Maia both of which have comparable top wins to Bisping at MW.

Vitor showed he was good enough to beat a true gatekeeper at MW tonight. We need to see more to truly rank him. And saddest thing is that if Bisping wins a single fight over another borderline top 10 MW, you and others again will be calling him a top MW and calling for his title shot.

I've never tore down Weidmans competition straw man

Vitor has not been dominant in his career many ups and downs, no where close to Anderson in his consistency, there is a reason for this he is not as good. I like Vitor and he had a great win tonight.

He's been pretty unstoppable since going to 185 bar one exception.

I still think a strong wrestler gives him problems eg. Sonnen.

I remember when he was all the hype he was a big deal back in the day.

Newer fans really should rent DVDs to watch the old guard before just putting them down.

Sadly it's probably not going to happen. MMA fans love to shit on the legends of this sport. It's a phenomenon that only seems to occur in MMA and no other sports.

I seriously could not understand why people were so confident in Bisping in the first place. But yeah Vitor's awesome, man.

I didn't understand why people were so confident in Bisping either. The guy got beat by Wanderlei....I mean come on Wanderlei.

To be fair, Anderson hasn't gone through the psychological trauma of having your sister kidnapped and murdered. You have to take that into account when talking about Vitor's consistency.

I don't see how he hasn't earned another shot at Anderson, at MW he is on a 3 fight win streak.

This.

I can't believe how many people had Bisping in this fight. I honestly didn't think he ever had a chance. Aside from better cardio, what could Bisping possible top Vitor with?

A large part of it I believe is people see an ugly streak in the middle of his record and don't know the full story.

I think losing Spike adds to this as well, as spike was always showing a lot of unleashed shows that showed how great and exciting the old guard was when they were younger and healthier. Now, newer fans mistake anything before UFC 100 as being old school, like people were still fighting in wrestling shoes in 2008 (not that the guys putting it on the line in wrestling shoes back in the 90's don't deserve respect as well). now people would rather read twitter to keep up with a fabricated and coordinated beefs than watch old fights.
